This verdict is a tragedy.

“What is good is in the previous trial the judge actually issued a 400 page-document which detailed how he got to that result,” Arline Kercher said. “It is a case of finding out what happened to Meredith and get some justice for her.”

Hehehe. I'd say that you're the one on the side with the liberals.

One of the female jurors appeared to be in tears as Knox spoke, NBC's Lester Holt reported from the courtroom.

Meredith Kercher's family speaks

For the Kercher family, Monday's verdict is a chance at justice for the 21-year-old student, who was living with Knox. Her body was found with more than 40 wounds and her throat had been slashed.

Stephanie Kercher and her mother Arline said they were satisfied with the original verdict and trusted the Italian legal system.

"What is good is in the previous trial the judge actually issued a 400 page-document which detailed how he got to that result," Arline Kercher said. "It is a case of finding out what happened to Meredith and get some justice for her."

This verdict is a tragedy.

Really? You approve of botched DNA evidence, phony eyewitnesses and rogue prosecutors as well as a system where guilt is presumed?

Just open the doors and let them all out, they are all innocent. We will put the media and tv, in charge, maybe jerry rivers will be the one that decides.

Its just a another media acquittal of a 20 something white liberal chick that couldn’t possibly be lying. That and a few well placed bribes.

Yeah... I just don’t know how Merediths blood got all over Amandas feet and clothes.

I made no comment on her guilt or innocence. I just don’t find the murder of an innocent young girl to be something to joke about.

So ... only because an emotional jury overturned the previous verdict which was based on facts, you believe that means it was a right and just decision?!

So in your world, 'White Bronco' OJ and 'Let's Party' Casey Anthony are innocent too?

The first conviction was not based on facts.

I don’t find a bogus murder conviction anything to joke about, either.

I guess you like rogue judges, too.

Luminol revealed footprints in the flat which the prosecution argued were compatible with the feet of Knox and Sollecito.[58]:373[66] A consultant for Knox's defence, however, testified that work status reports showed, "in contradiction to what was presented in the technical report deposited by the Scientific Police, and also to what was said in Court, that not only was the Luminol test performed on these traces, but also the generic diagnosis for the presence of blood, using tetramethylbenzidine...and this test...gave a negative result on all the items of evidence from which it was possible to obtain a genetic profile."[58]:256 Nevertheless, the judge did not accept this view and concluded that the traces revealed with Luminol in Knox's bedroom, the corridor and Filomena's room had originated from Knox's bloody feet.[58]:382 Source: Wikipedia

You’re getting pretty desperate when you have to accuse me of supporting Casey Anthony and OJ. Maybe you should apologize to me and stop smearing. Or just keep burning those crosses.

The family of murdered Meredith Kercher disagrees with you.

Stephanie Kercher and her mother Arline said they were satisfied with the original verdict. "What is good is in the previous trial the judge actually issued a 400 page-document which detailed how he got to that result," Arline Kercher said. "It is a case of finding out what happened to Meredith and get some justice for her."

Isn’t that the problem? If the justice system is corrupt, all it takes is one disgruntled shopkeeper to denounce a tourist, and there ya go.

For that matter, this trial is probably going to make Perugia look like Aruba in terms of where people want to go. Too bad. Knew a guy from there once. Looks like a real sweet area.

The facts aren't elusive: In December 2009, the Italian court released a 400-plus page report detailing the mountains of evidence that led the judges and jury to conclude that Knox, along with her Italian beau, Raffaele Sollecito, and a petty thief of her acquaintance, Rudy Guede, had murdered Knox's English roommate, Meredith Kercher, on the evening of Nov. 1, 2007.

Knox's first-of-several alibis for the night of the murder was that she was at her boyfriend (and co-defendant) Sollecito's house all night, sound asleep until 10 a.m. the next morning.

A few days later, when that was proved false by telephone records, eyewitnesses and Sollecito's admission that it was a lie, Knox claimed she was in the house during Meredith's murder ... and she knew who the murderer was!

Solely because of Knox's claim that Lumumba murdered Meredith, he was arrested and sat in jail for two weeks before being released when the police discovered about a hundred eyewitnesses who could place him at his bar all night, the night of the murder.

Knox later said she falsely accused Lumumba only because the police wanted her to do so.

Knox's effort to frame an innocent man was nothing but a desperate attempt to throw suspicion off herself. In the process, she inadvertently revealed that she knew something only the police knew about the murder: that Meredith had also been sexually assaulted.

Police first came to the house the day after the murder to investigate a burglary in the bedroom of another roommate, Filomena Romanelli, that had been reported by Knox and Sollecito. But the break-in turned out to be staged. Among many other reasons, glass from the broken window was on top of the piles of clothes thrown on the floor. (Always remember to break the window before trying to stage a burglary!) Also, nothing had been stolen from Filomena's room. Of course, that wasn't known by anyone except the fake "burglar" until Filomena returned and determined her jewelry and other valuables were still there.

Now Knox is back to claiming she was in Sollecito's apartment all night on Nov. 1 -- with no evidence to support that story, but witnesses, phone and computer records contradicting it. Her only alibi witness is her co-defendant, Sollecito, and he's already told the police that he has lied for her.

Based on the wounds on Meredith's body, investigators conclusively determined that she had multiple attackers.

Oh.. I see.... the judge was in on it as well as the police, the scientific police, the prosecutor, and lab techicians and the general population of Italy. They were all out to get poor Amanda, the person who heard the tortured screams of Meredith, supposedly from the other room, yet didn’t bother to find out what was going on while she is being stabbed 40+ times. Only the “defence consultant” had the real evidence. Ahhhh... OK... now I see.
