Thank you, for this delightful poem.
It is happy, and true.
There is noting quite like the glory of golden leaves falling on a green lawn and the sun shining of them.
They look like golden coins from our immensely rich LORD and KING that freely rains them upon us every fall.
Beautiful.
Happy Monday, Rus.
Thank you for the Soul Food this morning and every morning.
Good morning, Meg! Love your graphic.....especially having a “helper” pick apples. Thank you!

You as well, Amy!

"To Autumn"
By John Keats
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.
Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind;
Or on a half-reap'd furrow sound asleep,
Drows'd with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers:
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
Steady thy laden head across a brook;
Or by a cider-press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings hours by hours.
Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,-
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
The red-breast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.
Apple a day even keeps the “Draggin” away!! LOL! Thank you!
*big smile*
Happy Monday, Yorkie .... hope you are not getting the punies! ;-)
Pretty pic.
lol at the pic! :)
Thank you, Yorkie.
Our archives are full of great graphics and poems. I often get distracted when I go there.
They certainly are, LTOS.
So much time and talent was put into these graphics. It is a shame to think some may be seen only once.
Wishing you a cool Cool Monday. :)
Wonderful, Yorkie.
Psalm 91
1.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2.I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3.Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4.He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5.Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6.Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9.Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10.There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11.For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12.They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13.Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16.With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”

King James Version (KJV)
Psalm 101
1.I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
2.I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3.I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4.A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
5.Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
6.Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7.He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
8.I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.”

“King James Version (KJV)
Psalm 40
1.I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3.And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4.Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5.Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6.Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7.Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8.I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9.I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10.I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11.Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
12.For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13.Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
14.Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15.Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16.Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
17.But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.”
