EXPORT, Pa. -- Consumer advocate Mary Bach won a civil judgment Thursday against Walmart in a case in which she alleged the retail giant misrepresented prices and overcharged her.
District Judge Charles Conway awarded Bach $180.50 in damages.
The Murrysville woman's complaint alleged that Walmart advertised goods at one price but intended to sell them at a higher price, violating the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act of 1968.
It was the fifth time Bach has sued Walmart over pricing issues at the same store in Delmont.

sounds like a vendetta from a left wing nut.
Sounds like she’s smart and recognizes a business that can’t adjust and correct mistakes. So, she makes money off of them.
Duh.
She ought to get a disability and start doing ADA lawsuits. Better payout.

There used to be a poster on FR that used the nick of ‘murrysville mom’ or something like that. She was a lefty.
Yep she was suspended back in 08 it seems. She was from Murrysville as I recall. Her postings:

ah maybe it is her.
She’s a left wing nut I bet who thinks these kind of lawsuits will damage and bring down her evil empire called walmart.
yea right
I wondered the very same thing!
wow she’s a liberal nut alright
I’m surprised that the old guy greeting folks at the door hasn’t wrestled her to the ground and banned her from in.
Yep, Jim tolerated her for a long time but finally gave her the boot in 08 it seems. She was around for several years.
Yeah, if I were the manager of the Delmont Walmart, I’d have her mugshot posted at the front door and instructions to the greeter to turn her away.
wow, it’s amazing how many trolls stay so long.
I’m reading her past posts and she sounds like your average typical left wing loon.
Yeah but you sould also correct the pricing mistakes, right?
Correct. But I doubt very much if she was undercharged by mistake, she’s kick up such a fuss.
Bach said she has receipts showing that the checkout scanner was still charging the wrong price six days after she notified Walmart about her overcharge. "I think they are purposely keeping consumers in the dark, or they're misleading their customers," Bach said. "This is a real easy problem to fix."
Sounds like she is saying that it is not a mistake and that is why she is kicking up a fusss. Of course tha writer did not look at the receips so she could just be blowing smoke. You would think that the courts would have looked though.
I don’t know the person but I absolutely support her going after any business that advertises one price and intentionally sells at a higher price. This is an old scam and a serious no-no in business law.
If it’s a truly intentional “bait and switch,” I agree with you.
If it’s a mistake by a cashier, or by an incorrect scanning code, sheesh, lady, get the manager to correct it and let it go.
