Let's suppose Cain wins the nomination. Do you think he's going to pal around with Palin on the campaign trail or pick her as VP?

The honest answer is "No". Cain would need independents and Palin has a lot of negatives, also, she's from Alaska, not a key state. The simple truth of the matter is Palin is no longer important as some think she is. And any candidate that latches on to her, or rather, let's Sarah latch on to them could quite possibly end up losing the independents. So, watch for the nominee to distance himself (whoever he might be) from Palin. The base would be with Cain, Palin could only drive potential voters away.

Again, if you think about this honestly, I think her time in the bright lights is coming to an end.

In full disclosure I was a big time Sarah fan, but no longer, Cain is my guy now and I'm not switching away from him.

I think that is what I like most about Cain. He is not afraid to admit his errors and then do something about correcting them. He traveled to Israel and met the leaders there and learned first hand about "right to return" instead of trying to slither off. Of course as you said, his ideas, principles, humility, optimism and humor are to be admired!

You are deluding yourself if you think that Herman Cain is going much of anywhere. All the hubbub is about Herman Cain winning the Presidency 5 Straw poll in Florida. I have been to three Presidency Convention Polls which are held only when there is no Republican Incumbent in the WH. The reason that Herman Cain got so many votes is because you could not vote for SP, or Mccotter either. SP had a big following at Presidency 5, and if she had been on the ballot no matter how much he is loved by SP supporters, they would have voted for her. If you notice, Rick Santorum got 10 percent of the vote, that also sent a message to Rick Romney or Mitt Perry.

You can back what ever horse you want, and I think that Herman Cain is a fantastic guy and high achiever. He also is the real black man, who has class,courage, decency, great sense of humor and high intelligence. He is remarkably not bitter and he has no chip on his shoulder considering what he had to endure growing up a black man.

I hate to say this,but you are turning people off almost as bad as Perry's zealots. You do not go from supposedly favoring someone so highly to slamming them because they do not do as you want.

Well, I don’t think so, and you can make statements like that only because she hasn’t “announced”. I have no better idea than anyone else whether she will, but if she does, you will see all over again an excited base WAY beyond the momentary excitement that Rick Perry’s introduction in the scene generated just a few weeks ago. A stuff-it-down-their-throats Romney candidacy will inevitably create political chaos on our side almost as divisive as the Obama candidacy and election did 3 years ago. There are some real problems here, and they’ll manifest fully for probably a good many months in the future. In this context, I can see Cain continuing to rise, and when he does, he may well be the Tea Party choice ,lacking Palin’s delayed appearance as a candidate. NO Republican candidate can win the election (the nomination, sadly, is another thing entirely) without the Tea Party vote, which comes from probably MORE sources than it did in the wake of McCain/Palin’s defeat. Perry has got to
present himself better, and clear up by way of explanation, all those ‘negatives’ that continue to cling to him.
Otherwise we’ll be left with Willard.
Sarah better decide soon, or we’ll be left with Perry.
Kind of on the horns of a dilemma, huh?

I disagree. At least as far as turning them out to vote for Palin. In my experience, from talking to family, friends, etc., women tend to be the most turned off by her. I don't know why. I agree with her on most points; more so than most of the current candidates. I could see myself voting for her if she runs; maybe in the primary, definitely in the general if she were to win. But, bring her up in conversations with women, even conservative women, and the claws come out. Her negatives may be undeserved and products of unrelenting bashing by the media, but they are real. It's something a lot of Palin supporters try to ignore or write off as PDS, but that doesn't change the situation.

It’s not because of any “games” that certain Freepers are no longer supporters of Gov. Palin. It’s because certain Freepers have short attention spans and move on to the new shiny trinket.

Cain has won some straw polls (one of which he won with fewer than 400 votes), but do any legitimate polls (oxymoron?) show him with more than 10% support?

Yesterday's nationwide Fox poll has him at 17%, just 6 behind Romney; today's SurveyUSA for Florida has it Romney 25, Cain 22.

So, to answer your question... yes.

I wouldn’t pick Palin for VP, either, given the way she’s been dicking with the American people on whether she’s running or not. Other than that, I have no problem with her at the moment.

(Christie, on the other hand, is not dicking with the American People. He has said, time and again, that he’s not running, but one can be forgiven for thinking otherwise, given the media buzz.)
