Answer this question honestly and you'll see why Palin's influence is gone. (Vanity)

Posted on 09/29/2011 1:04:44 PM PDT by Scythian

Let's suppose Cain wins the nomination. Do you think he's going to pal around with Palin on the campaign trail or pick her as VP?

The honest answer is "No". Cain would need independents and Palin has a lot of negatives, also, she's from Alaska, not a key state. The simple truth of the matter is Palin is no longer important as some think she is. And any candidate that latches on to her, or rather, let's Sarah latch on to them could quite possibly end up losing the independents. So, watch for the nominee to distance himself (whoever he might be) from Palin. The base would be with Cain, Palin could only drive potential voters away.

Again, if you think about this honestly, I think her time in the bright lights is coming to an end.

In full disclosure I was a big time Sarah fan, but no longer, Cain is my guy now and I'm not switching away from him.

If Cain wins the nomination, I would suspect Palin would whole heartedly endorse him and I would predict a number of joint appearances.

She would not run for VP again, so that’s off the table regardless of the nominee.

Welcoming open homosexuals into his cabinet but not welcoming Palin to help him campaign?

Sounds like a great strategy.

We’re waiting quietly....

So is most of the Republican base, in case you haven’t noticed.

Of course, Cain is not going to be the nominee—and Palin is not going to do the VP thing again.

In fact, Palin is the likely presidential nominee.

Don't quit your day job... and it IS Palin supporters that will be Cain's base... if Sarah does not run... so tread lightly.

What do you mean watch the nominee fade away from Palin. What nominee has been surrounding currently. Not one has asked for her opinion, taken up for her when trashed. Not one has even asked her endorsement. Silly

What are you going to do when he does pal around with Gov. Palin on the campaign trail? Drop him?

Are you saying that he’s going to ignore his conservative base to kiss up to “independents”?

I think you don’t know him very well if you think this. At least I hope you don’t.

As far as VP I doubt she wants to be VP.

52% of American voters are not men. Just like Obama brought more blacks to the ballot box...

...I suspect that Sarah will help turn out more women. And many will be voting (R) for the first time.

If Cain wins I think Palin does not run in the first place.

And I don't think she cares to be picked as VP either.

I believe she has the attitude of a mom towards raising children- it's a tough job but she'll do it.

She exhibits no narcissistic sign of desperately WANTING the job (that all the others do except maybe cain or bachman or paul)

Well I bet if Cain were to win the nomination, he would seek Palin’s support and I bet her support would be among the first he seeks. My conjecture seems trump your conjecture, but since it is conjecture we will never know for sure.

Still feel free to believe Palin has little influence. If it makes you happy and more likely to vote for the eventual nominee whoever that is, go for it. You are welcome to believe Palin has little influence, even if she is ultimately the nominee.

Love your tagline.

Also love how Sarah has outwitted all her enemies, at the same time, saving future donors like me a lot of money. Why be in the race early and burn through hard earned donor money? She is too wise to do that.

She will announce at exactly the right time, and in a Reaganesque manner she will go right to the people, MSM be damned.

Wait Sarah, Wait...then give it to ‘em with both barrels!

The way I see it after what Palin said the other day she has two choices endorse Cain or run.

Sarah Palin:“Herman Cain is the one up there who doesn’t look like he’s part of that permanent political class. He came from a working class family. He’s had to make it on his own all these years. We respect that. He has an automatic connection with the electorate. We can all relate to him. He knows the issues and problems we face every day and he’s determined to do something about it.”

My take is that conservatives want decisiveness and Sarah has appeared indecisive. It’s her playground - but her supporters feel abandoned.

Herman Cain declared his intentions, had no name recognition but gained attention with his ideas, principles, humility, optimism and humor. A few missteps, but overcame them without blaming others.

I hope he is taking notes from Newt on how to handle debate moderators and interviewers.

It’s all good;)
