Unfortunately the courts disagree with you. The child is a citizen. 14th Amendment.

The standard has NOT been set. Every court in this nation which has had the opportunity has either ruled that it’s nobody’s business or that NBC doesn’t matter enough to spend time on. All some of us are asking is that the standard BE SET. The courts refuse.

I like a lot of what Rubio says, but unless and until the Supreme Court rules on what NBC means, somebody like Rubio will not get my vote, either for president or for vice-president. Putting Rubio with an otherwise good, eligible candidate would be a real quick way to lose the election. Play “chicken” with us if you like, Levin, but I don’t think you want the results you may get. You need our goodwill, and you won’t get that by mocking us and refusing to address our points. That’s exactly how we’ve gotten into this unaccountable, corrupted mess we’re in.

The best thing Levin or any of the others could do would be to encourage SCOTUS to take up the issue so we have a clear ruling and somebody like Rubio can know where he stands, as can every voter in this country. Why does SCOTUS refuse to clarify this?

What if Rubi was born by c-section? Is he still a natural born citizen??

Perhaps, if he was born by caesarian section, he is actually a citizen of Rome.

I’m about as conservative as a person can get and I would love to vote for Cain, but if Rubio is with him and I can’t know that Rubio is eligible to be POTUS if something happened to Cain, it would blow the whole deal for me. I would sit out the election.

Take us seriously or you will regret it.

If Obama is an NBC because he was (allegedly) born in the U.S., then Rubio is an NBC because HE was born in the U.S. case closed, end of story.

What you seem to be saying is that if the Democrats cheat and steal and violate the Constitution, then it's OK for the Republicans to cheat and steal and violate the Constitution.

I think not. That's basically the problem with the Republican party insiders--they are all too willing to join hands in corruption and split the pork.

Even if born in Hawaii--which I doubt--Obama doesn't qualify as a Natural Born citizen, any more than an Anchor Baby does. And neither does Rubio.

That doesn't mean that Rubio isn't a nice guy, who deserves his current post. There are millions of nice guys all over the world, but they don't qualify for POTUS.

If we no longer want to limit the POTUS to natural born citizens, then it's time to pass another amendment. But frankly I don't think that's a very good idea.

>> It may not be liked but it is the law now.<<

By that logic so is Obamacare and Roe v Wade. We should all capitulate and “obey the law”.

I have a even better idea!!! Why don’t YOU go on mark Levin’s website and tell him how wrong he is, and how there are millions of constitutional experts who back you up, a majority of constitutional experts even!!! Oh, I bet he says a four letter word to you which starts with a “c”, ends with a “p”, and has the Egyptian Sun God in the middle.

Right. Better Obama as President than Rubio as VP!

Must be a WorldNutDaily position. I’d hate it if we lost the nut vote...

“By those standards, an Anchor Baby of illegal immigrants could become President.”

As the law stands now - Yes.

If someone doesn’t require naturalization, then they were born a US citizen. And there are only two ways to become a US citizen - birth, or naturalization.

Sorry, but there needs to be better precision than that. And yes, I will do the reading. In your sentence I copy above, I see that you left out the words "natural born." I think 95% of us are in violent agreement that a child born on US soil is a US Citizen. But that is NOT the question.

Mark Levin is a major disappointment in regards to Constitutional law. I used to think that he would be someone to hold up in the greatest respect on the subject of the Constitution. I still respect the man as being a conservative but just not as a great conservative. For whatever reason he has sold out the Constitution on this issue.

Doesn’t someone have to present it to the SCOTUS (and doesn’t that mean there has to be someone with standing, as in a suit of some sort)? I don’t pretend to understand the process, but there is one. Someone help me here.

Because no judge is going to rule that someone born on US soil can’t run for president.

Accept it, and move on, or don’t, and spin your wheels until they fall off.

Your choice.

Would not suprise me. I rest my case.

If the Republicans have no more respect for the US Constitution and the rule of law than the dems I say screw ‘em all. The only way I would even vote would be for a third-party candidate who actually stood for the rule of law.

The more the establishment blows us off, the more THEY are setting the stage for somebody like Palin to run as a third-party candidate and take a lot of votes with them.

I’m sick of both “sides” of the establishment thinking that we the people and the rule of law can be poo-poohed into oblivion. They ALL need to be forced to comply with the law.

If SCOTUS denies standing to individual voters who need to know whether they can vote for a particular candidate without violating the Constitution, the only option they leave us is to not vote at all. If they think that is too insignificant to take the time to rule on, this country is already lost and elections are a total waste of time.

People like you are the reason why I get sooo mad at the Vattle Birthers. They have given you false and bad legal advice to the point where you will not vote for a good conservative person because you have believed the Vattle Birthers lies about stuff. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Let me get this straight. You are so ticked off over a fine point of law that likely even CONSTITUTIONAL EXPERTS DISAGREE ON that you would give the election to Obama for another 4 years? Seriously? Seven Presidents have had at least one foreign born parent, so clearly this is not a cut and dried issue.
