NYPD Blue showed Charlotte Ross’s @ss. ER had a character say “**it happens” around the same time.

I don’t think you could get away with either today.

No nudity allowed, but you can have fully clothed people simulate orgasms, weird standards.

In the late sixties, our local university TV station aired a very early short film by Roman Polanski, called Knife in the Water, which had brief female frontal nudity.

After the broadcast was over, I rewound the tape and played back that part, just to be sure.
