Just for discussion. Tell me in the Genesis 13:13 where the
author writes But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.” Was Moses talking of the Men of Sodom— or their sin? In Genesis 18:20-21 Where the Lord says “Because the Cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin in grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the Cry of it,....”And later when Abraham is bargaining with God for the City —Abraham suggests there may be righteous among the wicked.
while it is popular to say Love the sinner—hate the sin—what I take from Scripture is that people sin—people choose to sin—homosexuals choose sin. Genesis 19: clearly suggests in verses 1-23 that among those sins-or perhaps springing from the sins defined in Ezekiel—the men of Sodom
chose the wicked behavior of homosexual behavior. ... Why else would they refuse the offer of Lots virgin daughters?
They were betrothed to sons of Sodom. And custom to the time and place the host offered his dearest possessions in attempt to avert evil planned against those under the shelter of his roof. True enough the sin/ behavior is
condemned but we do not/cannot claim to love someone if we do not hasten to pull them from the consuming fire.
In this case I prefer to defend the students right to be a Christian in the place where he is captive by law—than to
bring the silly argument over if he misunderstood Scripture or not. His comments , as reported, seem no more inappropriate than the queer actions and anti-religious actions of his teacher that seem to have precipitated the remarks.

Exactly—Formative years determine character and who and what you do.
Children need a mother and father to protect them...if that does not happen—they can be easily damaged—they are extremely vulnerable...they have no ability to discern truth and deception. By nature, it is the biological connections that “should” ensure a caring, nurturing and love. People have to protect the minds of their children even more so then their bodies. They have to understand that those first seven years are crucial and the most vulnerable and today—I would NEVER put them into the hands of public schools.
Eakman has written extensively on the textbooks designed with BF Skinner techniques to condition and brainwash-—to destroy the “fixed beliefs” of any child-—so they can posit the “right” way to think. They use peer pressure—humiliation which is quite effective in childhood to make one conform. Our adults have been put through this massive conformity system of education—to form your worldview-—it is created by “feelings”, never logic. (Marcuse).
The destruction of the family and Christianity are to destroy the ideas of “normal easily observed in natural setting” and logic (Christianity was based on reason and Truth) Even Jesuits since the 1500’s have a complete understanding of the importance of worldview in childhood.
We have been conditioned to think it is good to take young children away from their mothers in formative years....it is evil. Women were conditioned into thinking “preschools” were giving advantages to others children. In fact, the earlier children are taken away for long periods from loving mothers, the more dysfunctional and emotionally disturbed they are. They take this separation as “they aren’t worthy of their mother’s time”. They feel a rejection which leads to low self esteem and high stress. Primates never allow strangers to get near their young. They will allow a female relative eventually.
Homosexuals know to subvert their ideology and views, they have to start in Kindergarten (obama’s Sex Ed speech—is being implemented) Sex Ed was created by the vile minds of men like the Communist founder of the Homosexual movement-—who wanted a Brave New World—man/boy sex. After all he was sodomized (but in a “loving” way) so he approved of the act “Idea” wholeheartedly. Homosexuality is a fixated immaturity —a narcissism focused on self-pleasure. Behaviors become habituated (Aristotle) and their is an inability to deal in a emotional healthy way with the opposite sex. Maturity level is more about sacrifice which is the element that makes “love” possible. There is no sacrifice in male/male sex—it is lust and idolatry...and they don’t have to understand or deal with people who are different by nature—which takes more effort, understanding, etc.
Evil has existed since Abel and Cain. It is nothing knew. It only exists with the absence of God. There has been an effort to kill God since Modern Philosophy—so that there is no right and wrong.

What people have to do is not believe the news....Beck is the only one I would give credence to.....even more so when he goes after the “homosexual mafia”. He avoids that topic and anyone who talks of “God” and doesn’t condemn the homosexual acts as being intrinsically and naturally evil, to me is not fighting for the children—the worldview of God.
Like Ron Paul, if they endorse homosexual marriage (even by the idiotic notion of allowing people to vote on a behavior that deny children their biological parents—which denies them their inalienable right), he has to be pressed to “reason” why he would teach and hold behavior which is damaging as a “good” —something for children to model and copy. As a doctor and understanding the teleological design of human beings and the fundamental need of children to have both a mother and father-—not, withstanding the fact that our Constitution is based on the laws of nature and nature’s God—how come Paul is so obtuse? So stupid—when he is smart in other areas?

(Will and Grace, Friends, etc.) They make the characters who do extremely EVIL behavior-—look cute and excusable.....She HAD to have sex with her girlfriends boyfriend, because THAT is the True Love. They are intrinsically evil people because they don’t contain virtues-—Trust, loyalty, Do unto others.....They destroy relationships and connections. It is always extremely evil to do that....never just a little funny cute thing-—which they model to our children 24/7. And we wonder “why” our children can not decide a moral question???? They don’t know Right from Wrong.

It was not an accident that Charles Manson became who he was. He was born to an illegitimate kid with no known father—his mother was a 16 year old prostitute. Moses topic was Abraham and Lot. Two men are at a cross roads in life. Abraham gives Lot a choice of anywhere in the land. Lot chooses the place described as "well watered, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt" (Gen 13:10). Lot wants to return to Egypt and is attracted to what looks like a return to the garden of Eden. However, Moses explains that the direction Lot chose moved him closer to the place where the people had a reputation for wickedness and great sin. Lot chose to move away from God.
Abram however chose to stay near Bethel -There he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD. (Gen 12:8) Bethel is translated "The House of God.
So, we have two men who make major life choices. One chooses the path that looks as if its the way to the Garden of Eden but its actually the way to sin and judgement. The other makes his home in a place near where he built an altar to honor and worship God and with a name that means what Joshua said "But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” (joshua 24:15)
As for what the bible says about homosexuality. At the risk of oversimplifying a complex issue, I will condense my understanding of the issue. First, we have three main time frames regarding sin. The first is the laws before Moses and the mount. The second are the laws of Moses and the third is the time after the cross.
A good indication of what God expected of both Hebrews and non Hebrews is in the closing words of Lev 18 dealing with sexual sins Lev 18:24
24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
Note the emphasis is on the doing, not the being.
Now, fast track to after the Cross. Some Christian's claim that after the cross there are no practices that are considered wrong for a Christian and some argue that all the law must be kept. This became a major problem when the Gospel was being brought to non-Christians. The debate was what exactly was required of the Christian. Specifically, did they need circumcision. My favorite bible reference on this point is from Acts 15.

Again, Peter and the council (which is the first recorded council) agreed that Christians must abstain from sexual immorality. This indicates two things to me. First is that the requirement is against the action, not the thoughts. Second, that even Christians can be persuaded to commit those sins otherwise there would not need to be a prohibition.
Finally, let me underscore the Grace of God's love for us. When the bible says God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, you have to remember that everyone in this world is a sinner and all deserve God's wrath. He sent His Son to die for all of us sinners including homosexuals. None of us look any better or any worse to God in our sinful state. It is only through the blood of Christ covering us can we stand in front of God.
One of the problems on this issue is a misunderstanding of justification and sanctification. It is easier for me to steal something someone else wrote on this:
Sanctification is the processes of set apart for God's work and being conformed to the image of Christ. This conforming to Christ involves the work of the person. But it is still God working in the believer to produce more of a godly character and life in the person who has already been justified (Phil. 2:13). Sanctification is not instantaneous because it is not the work of God alone. The justified person is actively involved in submitting to God's will, resisting sin, seeking holiness, and working to be more godly (Gal. 5:22-23). Significantly, sanctification has no bearing on justification. That is, even if we don't live a perfect life, we are still justified.
