We have control of the house of Representatives. They control the purse strings. The source of all spending bills. Right? Can anyone tell me why the Republican controlled house rubber-stamps spending that continues to fund...
Department of Education
Department of Agriculture
The Energy department
Housing and Urban Development
Labor Relations Board
EPA
Corporation for Public broadcasting
How about they take just one department and cut the entire budget? Make the Democrats defend and explain just exactly what would be lost if the entire budget of the Department of Education were cut. Republicans need to prove that they are the party of smaller government. Their actions say something else entirely for the last ten years.
I'm from Missouri - Show me.
LH, our problem is not too many Republicans but too few Conservatives...get rid of Moderates and RINO’s and we might be able to cut some spending...
Yup.
I’ll admit the Republicans have been fighting a full scale assault by O Bummer and his minions against our future. They have stood fairly strong against the assault. They collapsed totally when they let the Rino’s substitute a piece of crap in exchange for the cut cap and balance bill.
It’s time to go on the offensive and stop playing defense.
It’s past time for the GOP to decide whether it’s truly going to carry the Conservative banner, and if not, to make room for its replacement.
I’m sure the Whigs were sure they were going to be around forever too.
The kernel..the nugget of it all is taxes, regulation, and immigration
The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....
South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.
Why cant Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE
Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......
Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.
Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation. Interestingly, that is WHY the Feds encourage in-state tuition etc for illegals under-the-table -their presence providing disposable labor allows Federal, State and local regulatory and tax excess in the status quo to continue
Immigration is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.
Realleadership is that which will place Flyover Countrys interest ahead of the Feds....havent yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.
There were a grand total of EIGHT Republicans in Congress who didn’t support raising the debt ceiling two a half trillion dollars in some way or another.
So, there’s a whole lotta work to do.
In Missouri our secretary of state is trying to ignore calls to clean up the voter rolls. Robin Carnahan. The daughter of the late flat earth Mel Carnahan who was elected while dead. I wonder if he’s still voting?
True...that whole sorry spectacle of us negotiating with ourselves...while the RAT Senate sent over NOTHING for well over 800 days was disgraceful... For that reason alone Boehner and McConnell need to be primaried....Since Obama claims he won...let THEM fix the mess...do not do ANYTHING bi-partisan...do not give them any cover...WHEN THEY CUT real spending in real dollars then we can talk...
Government is ours. Occasionally it is time to remind our employees for whom they work.
