Wright’s thick cliced ... Meijer’s store-brand thick sliced ... both passable
Ashland Gypsy bacon ... custom sliced at the deli counter ... awesome
Danish smoked bacon (can’t spell name but it starts with a “D”) ... custom sliced at the deli counter ... beyond awesome

We don’t like overcooked bacon...that has the beejezzus fried out of it...that’s what mostly happens to *cooked out restaurant* bacon.

That’s our favorite as well.
My grandparents and in-laws ate bacon almost every day. They all lived into their 80’s and 90’s. My grandmother was 99 when she died.

Regional bacons are unique. Here we have
Nodine's. Unless you live nearby, it's not very convenient. Top drawer product, though.

Nueske’s Bacon is what better restaurants and eateries serve. It’s hard (but not impossible) to find in the supermarket. And, yes, Wisconsin is known for its food, both in quantity and quality!
I had a grandson at 18 months who used to demand Chuck’s bacon!” (It was Nueske’s and he would come for Ohio for it. He’s in college now in NY and has probably forgotten about it by now.)

Actually Wright Brands is from Texas but IBP bought them out and then Tyson took it over from IBP.
To: Daffynition
True!
There really is only one bacon.
Nueske's!
google it.....
All the rest is but a pale imitation....
Of course, $12/lb might be a bit steep!!!!!

Bad Bacon is bacon that comes from a a boar. When you cook it, the odor is so rancid you cannot stay in the house with the smell. Very, very bad.
