LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Shepherdsville woman is facing alcohol intoxication charges after police said she threatened guests at a restaurant and refused to leave.
Louisville Metro Police said officers were called to Joe's Older Than Dirt about 1:20 a.m. Friday because the woman, 41-year-old Katherine Carey, was yelling and threatening to fight guests at the restaurant.
Police said Carey was asked to leave by the restaurant's staff, but initially refused.
According to arrest records, officers followed the car that Carey was riding in, and saw her jump out near the intersection of Lyndon Lane and New LaGrange Road, and start running back toward Joe's Older Than Dirt.
Police said officers stopped Carey and told her to get back in the car, which she did. However, they said officers saw Carey get out of the car again about another block down the road.
At that point, police said they felt it was necessary to arrest Carey to ensure her safety and that of others.

A drinker’s oasis in an area otherwise bereft of bars, Joe’s is guarded by concrete animals with an interior that is pure hunting lodge. A new addition is the large outdoor drinking area, complete with open-air pool tables. (Don’t worry, there’s at least a roof to cover you if it rains.)

Joe’s Older than Dirt is an area classic proclaimed to be the location for the beer drinker. However, it also offers outdoor seating with a very family friendly atmosphere. Stop by with the family or with your boys for live music Wednsdays and karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Don’t get so caught up in the beer that you forget to try the barbecue!
I grew up a few frog hops from a Viking Beer Garden, oh man, I’m salivating at the thought of the cheeseburger baskets fries and onion rings, and they had a pool table outside too,, but no roof.. it too was family friendly,, :-)
Are we sure this wasn’t Randi Goldklank using a pseudonym?
