Heinz Ketchup is a distant third with $278.6 million in sales, edged out by the $286.2 million worth of Tostitos salsa sold last year.
Mayo is more expensive than ketchup. If they went by volume I bet ketchup would be number one.
I remember as a child we use to make thousand island dressing by mixing mayo and ketchup and a little bit of mustard.
When I lived in Louisiana I watched a couple of ladies, I worked with, make home made mayo for a potato salad in our office kitchen using just the yolks from hard boiled eggs, oil and some spices and lemon juice. That was the best potato salad I have had. Wish I had watched the whole process but they were whisking by hand and I could not stay around for all the ingredients they put in.
Me too.
The only way to spell the red stuff is ketchup.
I’m big on store brands, too. Especially Kroger. I don’t think I’ve ever had a Kroger product that wasn’t as good as, and sometimes better than, the famous brand.
Great. Another religious war.
First we had the “Evo Vs Crevo” Threads.
Then we had the “Catholic Vs Protestant” Threads.
Now it’s the “Miracle Whip Vs Hellman’s” Threads.
Please excuse me while I step outside and weep for your souls.
Really,I’m going to try it.
[Cut back to car test scene with Burt Reynolds now in the passenger seat.]
Stage Assistant: Burt Reynolds, Pulp Fiction screen test, take four.
Reynolds: Y’know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris, France?
Jackson: They don’t call it a quarter pounder with cheese?
Reynolds: No No, They call it a royale with cheese. Baha!
Jackson: Royale with cheese so how about a Big Mac?
Reynolds: Well, a Big Mac, that’s a- thats a Big Mac. ‘Course they call it le Big mac, ‘cause, y’know, they’re French.
Jackson: “Le Big Mac” (chuckles)
Reynolds: (laughs)
Jackson: So what do they call a Whopper?
Reynolds: (coughs) Quentin, ah, this whole picture about burgers, or ?
