NORFOLK, Va.- A Virginia city council voted to allow a law firm to paint a mural on its business featuring the Roman goddess Virtus with a bare breast exposed.
The Norfolk City Council voted 7-0 Tuesday to reverse the decision by the Planning Commission to deny the Montagna Klein Camden law firm permission to paint the mural of Virtus, who appears on the Virginia state seal, on the outside of its Monticello Avenue office building, The (Norfolk) Virginian-Pilot reported Wednesday.
The planning commission had said the planned image of the Roman goddess was too large and out of proportion with the proposed skyline mural set to accompany it.
Attorney Chuck Montagna of the law firm said he "always felt like the wardrobe malfunction was the real issue."

But the Confederate flag can’t fly over VA state buildings. Yeah, makes sense. /s

I am elated that this problem is FINALLY being dealt with! I can't stand how empty suits always want to deal with the insignificant problems such as unemployment, runaway national deficits, or the War on Terror. //s

Well, yeah, but can they display the Ten Commandments anywhere?
How about "In God we trust?"
Or maybe "One nation under God?"

I’m surprised the ACLU hasn’t objected to the church and cross that appear in the mural.

This is a private law firm, putting a mural on their own private property. Why wouldn’t they be permitted to display the Ten Commandments, “In God we Trust,” “One Nation Under God,” or anything else?

Prohibition of bare breasts means one is permited.

Give them time. They'll probably want the planes near the buildings removed as well; can't offend the muzzies.

Virtus has been less demure in Virginia.

Are we really at the point where people are scared of boobs?
For god’s sake people whatever you do don’t look up the naked pics of Scarlett Johannsen. Lord only knows what evil might befall you.

Two thoughts.
Down at their public library - if they are like other liberal public libraries - you can see a lot more than one artistic breast, on the internet they refuse to place porn limiting software on.
Let’s do away with this stupid controversy altogether and simply ban the use of female images entirely in any public art. Watch the liberal heads blow up from pretzel logic seizures.
“We like zero tolerance but we like special rights for women.”
“We like banning things but we like images of exaggerated strong women figures.”
“We keep porn open to viewing in our libraries but we can’t show one breast in an artistic statue because only THAT is exploitation of women.”
I almost feel sorry for the janitors having to clean up all the exploded liberal brains.

The United States Navy is conspicuously absent from that mural.

Hey, she did a stint on the 1916/17 Type I Liberty dimeActually, I think it was a quarter and the design was changed after public outcry.
Personally I think the original design was to point out how much of a boob was in the white house at that time
