Cong. Thad McCotter introduced his Save Social Security Plan yesterday, only to be almost completely ignored by the media. This is the FIRST Social Security reform legislation in quite some time and it was crafted by a Presidential candidate. Why the media blackout?
bump Thad McCotter
>> Why the media blackout?
Because Thad McCotter has less than a snowball’s chance in hell of getting the nomination, maybe?
But I’m glad he contributed his plan and I hope the plan gets some air time. Maybe one of the candidates that actually *has* a chance at getting elected will co-opt it. It’s funny, this nomination race is turning out to be a team effort, even if an adversarial one.
Tell me, how do you get rid of it? You’re going to tell people that a system that you’ve paid into your entire working life is no longer sustainable, so YOUR OUT? A real leader formulates a plan to reduce the government’s role, and reduce the amount of people who will collect from Social Security by allowing them options to invest in individual accounts. Politically speaking, do you think it wise to tell the electorate that you’re eliminating Social Security, or is it wiser to completely revamp the plan, allow INDIVIDUALS to cotrol their account in a free market sytem, so that they may increase their end payment and then leave the rest to their offspring?
What’s a Thad McCotter?
I wouldn’t have known who the heck Thad was if it wasn’t for his very entertaining appearances on Red Eye. Maybe that’s it! MSM hates Greg Gutfeld! LOL
“Whats a Thad McCotter?”
He’s a great conservative Congressman with a brilliant mind and great wit. If you look him up on cspan, you can see clips of some of his excellent speeches on the House floor. Also look him up on youtube and you can see some of his debates and interviews on various shows.
It’s criminal that this guy is being ignored while Ron Paul is taking up so much media space and even that idiot Gary Johnson from New Mexico (Ron Paul wannabe) gets in the 9/22 debate, but Thad does not.
