VIDEO: Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham Knock Sarah Palin
YouTube ^

Posted on 09/08/2011 5:24:37 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

Notice in the video, they provide no substantive critique of Palin's EXPERIENCE or RECORD or ACCOMPLISHMENTS or STANCES or ARTICLES. NOPE, but they do comment on her voice being "a few octaves too high!"

It’s called a female voice, ladies.

I’m sorry, I’m a guy, and I have never, ever gotten that particular criticism. Not when McCain brought her on board, not now. And if her voice hasn’t started to grate on me after three years, guess what, folks, it’s not likely ever to do so. And there are actually a few Freepers who try to compare her voice to Judy Tenuta’s. Trust me, I know exactly who the Petite Flower is. I know exactly what the Petite Flower sounds like. That is one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever seen uttered about Sarah Palin, and it is, to put it mildly, a wide-open field. Concentrate your criticism elsewhere, folks, because whenever somebody brings that one up, I may read on, but the “take you seriously” switch is off.

Sad. Really sad.

But I hear the same cattiness here ALL THE TIME.
Bashing people on looks, presumed manliness/womanliness, presumed religous fervor, presumed level of patriotism on and on and on ... not on policy.

So, it’s not just these girls who do this. This is just where we are as a society. We’re the American Idol society.

Palin doesn’t have a very good speaking voice.

However, that is NOT IMPORTANT. We shouldn’t be chosing our politicians based on looks, voice, clothing, etc. (not to mention race and gender).

Well said, the juvenile level of some FReepers in “defense” of Sarah is making FR look like DU.

I’m not comparing S. Palin to A. Lincoln (`Baberaham Lincoln’?) but Abe is said to have had a high, annoying speaking voice. And when he laughed (I read somewhere) it was a high-pitched cackling—`Hee hee hee.’
We’ve experienced form-over-substance since 2009.
More screeching, less sonorous baritone!

just exposing the reality that the people who reject Palin in the out of visceral envy and inferiority complexes are far more common than those with honest, substantive principled reasons for not supporting her.

The petty envies of people have much to do with the downward spiral of our country and its political discourse - whether you see that or not. Some of us refuse to drink the koolaid and settle for the choices and candidates determined by the bunches of immature, insecure power trippers who run the media and establishment — those who will do anything to obstruct the necessary restoration and change needed in this country for the sake of preserving their own limelight, status, or sense of personal adequacy.

We live in a country thay eschews greatness because of pervasive envy. Those who do everything they can do bring down people who embody greatness are bringing this country down as well into a temple of mediocrity of their own making.

Ann Coulter needs to stop smoking, she’s getting that smoker’s voice (an octave too low)

They’re right about her voice of course, but I’ve always found Coulter and Ingraham equally unlistenable.

There are juvenile levels in defense and juvenile levels in attack.

Basically, it’s mostly juvenile here, not substantive.
I’ve never been to DU but I can’t see how it can be much worse in that regard.

A lot of ends justify the means thinking.

Sad.

A dweeb? Seriously?...you’re still using that term?

The context of the Ingraham/Coulter conversation was the Republican Presidential field..Palin isn’t a candidate, so why bother discussing her? Palin is a personality...a brand...she’s almost a franchise. Do I take her seriously as anything other than a cheerleader for conservatism? No...Coulter and Ingraham have far greater intellectual depth.

“Notice in the video, they provide no substantive critique of Palin’s EXPERIENCE or RECORD or ACCOMPLISHMENTS or STANCES or ARTICLES.”

That is because those are irrelevant to what is being discussed, which is her inconsiderate, disrespectful, and silly diva act. Doing such things as showing up near Romney’s announcement to draw attention away from him (when she isn’t even a declared candidate!) are outrageous. Having her minions promote a Sept. 3rd Tea Party speech as a “major announcement”, and then being served up boilerplate that any Young Republican in college could write, is ridiculous.

She needs to stop playing games and make her intentions known, so primary voters will be better equipped to make a decision about who to support. This election isn’t about her. The conservative movement isn’t about her. The Tea Party isnt’ about her. It’s about the future of the country.

LOL!! Yeah - her brand sure sells with Patriots - finally a voice and a voice EVERYONE listens to because what she says is powerful - and depending on what side one is one - powerful good or powerful bad!! You seem obsessed with her because you are looking at the person and not the message. Unless of course - her message is disturbing to you - which is HIGHLY likely!

Coulter and Ingraham have far greater intellectual depth.

LOL! It showed with their focus on what they say is 'higher octave'!! Liberals are of that caliber. Sarah has done more for our country in one year - than those two did in their lifetime so far. Jealous ladies are so 'dime a dozen and come in all walks of life'. It is so strong a passion - someone with a lick of sense - can even be a party to it and open their mouth and out comes their 'weakness' as Ann and Laura did. Talk radio and writing books - something SARAH has already done and rose much much higher than that. What have the others did for our country - not for themselves? NOTHING! Talk radio and writing books - LOL! It take more than intellectual to succeed. So much for that 'greater intellectual depth' - they can only rise to what's inside. Enough said about those two - they reached their limits - they are now reduced to catty talk about those who have not.

It's obvious they are not content with themselves - but it's their own limitations that is stopping them. They would rather stop someone else from reaching their's. That's pathetic and grammar school.

NO matter what happens in the end - Ann and Laura have exposed their weakness and one thing for sure - they do not like successful conservative woman - much much more successful than themselves. Meow! So it shows their rant is all about themselves and NOT the conservative cause. They can forget ever be seeing in that light again. Like Ann has said - conservatism sells - so she/they got on that bandwagon with her mouth but not her actions. A previous Mittbot and perhaps, still is.

I don’t fear Sarah Palin and I’m hardly obsessed (you on the other hand...)she’s not running, so I don’t really care about her. I’d prefer to focus on people that are, you know, actually running for President.

Ingraham and Coulter weren’t being mean or catty...now, if they would have said that they’d both written more books than Palin has read, that would be catty...

With your biased opinion it’s ‘your call’ as what would be considered catty. Gotcha. When I want truth, I know who not to expect it from.

And this is not about if Sarah runs or not - It’s about those MEOW twins exposing their weakness - they aren’t self assured as they appear to be. A strong conservative woman who gets top billing is not their cup of tea - for it should be them! All her accomplishments they overlook - how pathetic and how telling.

Their knowledge only brought them that far because of what is within. If they were truly smart they would see their own weakness and work on it but it’s an quicker path to point to others to make one feel better for the moment - and tomorrow they are still be the same with no growth. Perhaps, another book or two - why not - that’s their level. Doesn’t seem they like conservative men, either. LOL! But, hey, whatever pays the bills and conservatism sells.
