On his nightly television show recently, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell said that Texas governor Rick Perry is not suitable to be president of the United States because of his connection to one man — Pastor John Hagee of San Antonio, Texas.
“Because Rick Perry has invited Hagee to his prayer event, the idiotic governor of Texas now owns that Hagee quote,” O’Donnell said in reference to a sermon Hagee delivered more than a decade ago in which he explored the connection between the evils of the Holocaust and the notion that God is loving and omnipotent. “Rick Perry owns the idea that Hitler’s killing 6 million Jews was God’s idea,” O’Donnell continued.
The implication of O’Donnell’s words was clear: Hagee is an anti-Semite, a Jew hater—and Perry is guilty by association.
But for those who know Hagee, and for those who are themselves acutely aware of the evils of anti-Semitism, O’Donnell’s charge is simply not true.
“He surely is not an anti-Semite, from what I can tell,” Nobel Peace Prize winner and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel told me in a phone interview. “He loves the Jewish state and the Jewish people. From what I learned during those meetings [with Hagee], he is not an anti-Semite.”

But O’Donnell has no problem with Obama’s 20 year association with the Jew hating, America hating pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

God certainly knew before hand, and used the sad results to make away for the establishment of the great nation of Israel. But in no way did he condone or approve the slaughter of 6 million of His chosen people the Jews or killing of 40- 50 million others. I too love the little fat guy from Texas, he is a great Preacher, who loves Israel.

By that, I believe Hagee meant to say that God’s PROVIDENCE and SOVEREIGN WILL permits both good and evil to happen in this world for reasons ONLY HE KNOWS and ONLY HE ALLOWS.
The death of 6 million Jews is as much part of God’s overriding providence as the 250,000 who perished in one day when the Asian Tsunami struck.
Hagee just articulated what he meant poorly and a liberal rag like Lawrence O’Donnell just ran with it, refusing to understand what he actually meant... which is what a typical liberal usually does.
Like any other major ministry, you know there are websites out there that take quotes out of context, make accusations (much like this one from MSNBC), or have genuine squabbles with doctrinal issues. That is enough for many christians to write off other ministries anywhere from 'false' to 'heretical', probably even 'antichrist'. I am sure multiple links will be forthcoming showing how he is a false teacher, and how those that listen to him are in a cult. And I know I am not telling you anything, but just as tired of it as you are...thanks for listening to my rant.
I have read Hagee's books - he LOVES Israel and the Jews. He sees them as God sees them.
This is a classic example of hysterics by the Presstitues, but expect it get even worse. Perry is a Christian (unlike Obama), and you will see Good vs. Evil at war in this upcoming election.
Hagee once attended a fund raiser for Israel, and he could not afford to write a big check like the other donors who were publicly announced. He gave a everything that was in his meager checking account.
The Jewish donors broke into a standing ovation at the announcement. He gave all he had.
O'Donnell and the media should be shamed into existence with this outrageous and unfounded charge.
Every real Christian on the planet knows that God is charge of all, but evil exists. To try and twist Hagee's words and heart like this is evil. If anyone ever doubted that Satan votes Democrat, here is all the evidence you need.
