germany will bail them out.
Maybe the German govt will, but the German electorate is starting to balk. This is a problem.

They closed a lot worse:

Now, Dow futures down 200+, S&P 500 Futures down 36.
Maybe the US market will continue going down this week to officially inform 0b0z0 that ANOTHER SPEECH loaded with stimulus and revenue won’t cut it because it won’t do anything as already proven and the added attraction of not passing the House.

Maybe the German govt will, but the German electorate is starting to balk. This is a problem. A mere formality.
Tell me -- think it through: what choice is there? Do you think the DAX is tanking because they're not going to bail them out?

The German taxpayers are sick of supporting a bunch of Mediterranean bums. The Germans have a saying,"Everything south of Rome is Africa." Merkel had better be careful or she's going to be shown the door.

Like I said, the political ramifications for the German government may trump the effort to bail out the EURO. IMHO.
European countries are still democratically governed, well, sort of.
