I was hoping “politician” was top of the list. But I didn’t even see it. Oh well.
Not much surprising there. Deaths on the job per capita would be interesting. Probably more people die in machinery accidents than any other , but that is a huge number of people in that description spread out over a number of occupations
I clicked through the slideshow, and cops and firemen aren’t even on the list.
But get ready for the cop and firemen unions to try to guilt-mail us into sweetening their already outrageous salaries during the upcoming 9/11 remembrances because “we put our lives on the line every day!”
Coal miners and farmers are way more at risk. And they don’t threaten public safety every time they decide they want a raise.
That's for sure.
And having just cleaned up some 80 foot oaks that fell or snapped off courtesy of Irene I was reminded once again how dangerous trees can be. Especially large branches under tension.
