Thank you for this devotional ... interesting thoughts. Strangely there is essentially no status quo. MO

O we may think so, however we are either growing toward good or we are falling toward evil. It requires active conscious study, contemplation, prayer, hunger, thirst, and inspiration of God to be pleasing before him.

Those in prison keeping their mind on the things of God and his commandments, can stay strong in his word. Of course a christian would commit crimes intentionally,... The knowledge God is with them right where they are 24 hours a day is sustaining to the believer.

Are we much too complacent about our faith most of the time? We are to mature into the image of Jesus Christ. He spent his waking time where ever he was in teaching in parables the Gospel of the Kingdom, and performing healing and other miracles, and praying.

Is it Sincere faith or easy belief?

... God knows the heart.

Most of this are things I say to myself regularly.

Good Morning Jaycee.... Thank you, and THANK YOU ALL you dear Amy's Place Friends!! My dear and precious Marilyn went to be with The Lord Tuesday night, September 20th at 10:30 in the evening. I was able to be by her side. She will be missed so. This photo was taken of her in 2006 when we all went for a fun carousel ride.

What I'm Thankful For

The mess to clean up after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

The taxes I pay because it means that I'm employed.

The clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

My shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

The spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking.

All the complaining I hear about our government because it means we have freedom of speech.

That lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means that I can hear.

The piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby.

The lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.

My huge heating bill because it means that I am warm.

Weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means that I have been productive.

The alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive.

I am thankful for you because it means that I am loved.

I have been feeling kinda puny. ;-)

I went back to bed after getting Marissa to the bus stop and that is what I’m planning to do right now.

Went to PT yesterday and I flunked. Gotta go back to my dr.

I’ve been known to talk in my sleep. Yesterday morning mrsd was getting ready for work and I sang the Star Spangled Banner. Wish I knew what I was dreaming about.

As Autumn Nears

Summer sun, almost gone
Longer nights until dawn
Red-throated hummingbirds disappear
South they head with winter near

Look back, reflect upon those longer days
