Looks like we might have a chance at a tropical system by monday or tuesday in the Gulf. If so it would be Lee. Here is hoping it develops into a massive rain maker. BigJoeBastardiJoe Bastardi
Expecting TPC to hatch western caribbean soon, and thats when it should start getting attention. GFS still too far east on Katia

This is a sneaky 5 day window I have been warning my clients about for a couple of weeks. Brett in 99 snuck in when most storms were east

Rain would be nice there, but I think this one will head north and then east long before it approaches land.
We are way behind on rainfall this year I think, we could use a couple of rainmakers. Just spread them apart a bit.
Hey NN, what have you been hearing on this system.
My bad. I saw some forming east and south of Katina but I haven’t heard anything about them or if had formed a depression yet.
Doo Wop Doo Wop
1. A TROPICAL WAVE OVER THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA IS ACCOMPANIED
BY DISORGANIZED CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS. THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE GENERALLY WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH ACROSS THE YUCATAN
PENINSULA DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO...AND HAS SOME POTENTIAL FOR
DEVELOPMENT OVER THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO IN A FEW DAYS. THIS
SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
10 percent chance of forming a cyclone in 48 hours. Now I see what you are looking at I think.
We don’t need a cyclone but we could sure use a depresion
Careful what you wish for.
Still no electric here, thanks to Irene.
Day 3 and counting....
I think we could handle a tropical storm or even a cat one after everything we went through with Ike.
Yep we need some rain scattered over of a month or so to let the ground soak it up. I noticed that Southeast Texas has upwards of a 40% chance of rain Friday thru Monday.
LOL! We know EXACTLY what we are wishing for. Remember Ike 3 years ago? We were out of electricity for 2 weeks others were out for 3 weeks. There are so many dead trees in Houston now that a strong wind is going to put us out of electricity for a month or more. Rain we need rain.
Is there a little joe bastardi?
