Description from here: http://www.rjkoehler.com/2011/08/29/to-foreigners-in-korea-please-learn-a-little-korean/
"A video is circulating on the Korean Internet of a black gentleman yelling at and threatening an elderly Korean couple. His violent behavior was the result of him misunderstanding the elderly mans comment to him. The elderly man reportedly said 니가 여기 앉아 (a sign of consideration) ("You can sit here" = Niga Yuh gi anja"), but not knowing Korean, the man in question interpreted 니가 as the N-word which led to his violent outburst. [...] Apparently our culprit learned 개새끼야 but couldnt be bothered to learn simple pronouns. Definitely North American, but if his hair is any indication hes definitely not a soldier." Thank goodness for that.
Update: Another account I found holds that "as far as I know, the old korean man just told him to keep it down because he was talking so loud on the phone. It infuriated the black man, and then started swearing. Later, the old korean man said "니가(nigga)" which in korean means "you," and the black man who doesn't speak Korean thought he was insulting him and started beating him up."

Definitely NOT the way to ask a black man if he has some marijuana.
Except we'd hear of him again on MSNBC telling us what great free healthcare he receives there.
That Punk needs to watch it,He will get his coconut head busted.

Let homey c'mon back to The States and give that a shot. He'll very likely come up against a CCW permit holder. And all that entails.
Too bad the old man didn't know Sinanju.
"Karate, Kung Fu, Ninjitsu - they are but shadows. Sinanju is the Sun. "
Bingo. No matter what the guy thought he heard, there's no excuse for assaulting two people multiple times. Hope he gets the book thrown at him.
You are quite correct. Whenever there is a word that refers to a group that is viewed negative, the liberal response is to change the word, thinking that the word is the problem rather than the often entirely rational negative response to the group.
This can be seen in other areas than the terms used to refer to Americans of African or part-African ancestry.
For instance, the original technical terms used to refer to people with severe mental disabilities were imbecile, moron and idiot. For fairly obvious reasons these terms quickly acquired very negative connotations.
So "caring" people began to use the term "mentally retarded" as a euphemism. This quickly acquired the negative connotations, so when I was in high school the term was changed to "Special Education." Special Ed soon became a derogatory term.
"Mentally challenged" followed and then "differently abled." Possibly there have been other terms I'm not familiar with.
However, the point is that the condition is what has negative connotations, and any word used to describe it will quickly acquire them. Sad, but that's the way the human mind works.
Hahaha! I swear I learn something every day I come on to FR. I’d never heard of “Epic Beard Man” before, and just found the youtube. Definitely one old timer I wouldn’t want to mess with, yikes!
He thinks he’s tough? Let him have a few rounds with some ROK troops.
kumdingi!!!
I am very familiar with the terminology progression for retarded folks because I am in Knights of Columbus and we collect money for them every year. The permitted terminology changes so fast that people do not get used to what the currently acceptable word or phrase is and we cannot actually tell people who we are collecting money for.
I have found the word “renege” ... to fail to carry out a promise... sets some of the stupid baboons off too...
So much for Pubic Edjucation
I guess that’s why blacks stopped calling white folks crackers or honkey.
When I travel to China, I always chuckle when the local factory folks go into the “na ge, na ge” routine which means “that” and is the equivalent to “ummm, ummm”. Reminds me of Dave Chapelle’s show...
I am disgusted that the young Korean MALES did NOTHING!!!
_______________
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Why didn’t someone defend the elderly couple?
Niga Yuh gi anja
(ne-GAH yogi AN-chah)
He sho was bein a nigga foo.
Will they send the guy to sensitivity training for 1 month, ‘teaching’ him that being a bigot, racist, and insensitive to people of different gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation is not good? Not to mention the use of violence...

Hapkido is also Korean and much more effective for real combat, and yet nobody stepped up? I don’t care if they didn’t know anything, do something.
In my old unit, we used the same thing as the WWII commandos, it was developed by an American, best fighting system I’ve ever seen, fast killing. Defendu.
Korea is very 'racist'... they really don't like anybody who ain't Korean. But I don't think that has anything to do with this story.
If the black American beat up some old Korean guy because he thought he was dissed, he needs to spend some hard time in a Korean slammer. He'll find some real hardcore, totally unabassed racism there. It won't be pretty.
