Interview of Ron Paul on Fox News Sunday. Paul did an excellent job.

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Society
KEYWORDS: liebertarians; ronpaul
I've supported Ron Paul in his congressional race, but not in his presidential bid. I'm struggling to find any candidate I can really be enthusiastic about. The more I learn about Perry, the less I like him.

Ron acquitted himself very well in this interview & as of now, I think he's the only one likely to do the very radical things necessary to reign in Big Gov't. I know his chances are slim, but there it is...

I agree, Paul did an excellent job with that interview. I was particularly impressed with Wallace allowing him to talk.

I, too, enjoyed Paul’s interview. He is so refreshing. His foresightedness and his age work against his electability to the Presidency.

Mark Belling subbed for Rush last week. He had an excellent suggestion: if a Repub is elected President, he should name Ron Paul as the Director of the Federal Reserve. Simply genius.

I’d put him almost anywhere in the next Administration - maybe even chief of staff, so he can be sitting right there telling Perry or whoever what is constitutional & what we ought to be doing!

I still like the idea of Team America - choose one to be President & VP & then each of our candidates pick a cabinet post they’d most like to deal with. All of them have their strong & weak points. We need a unified force to go against Obama.

I know. It’s a nutty idea, would never happen. But still...

I hadn’t heard that idea - I think it’s excellent. Sarah Palin for Secretary of Energy. Paul Ryan as economic advisor. And, of course, my favorite, (again) Ron Paul as Director of the Fed Reserve. After watching his interview yesterday (Ron Paul), I’d like him to double up, do the Fed, but also be Director of FEMA (he he).

Anyone who would blame the United States for 9-11 wouldn't get my vote.

So do you really think we were attacked because of our “Freedom”?

I've liked a lot of what Paul has had to say but he went over the edge blaming the thousands who died in 9-11. Any suggestion that he become a part of a new administration is absurd.
He should be ashamed of himself.

The problem with Ron Paul is that he’s surrounded by serious kooks and he does not always know where the edge of the cliff is in the fog of kookdom they create.

Guarenteed, if he got power the kooks would hate his guts within two months.

If Ron Paul blames the victims who died in 9-11, that’s news to me. All I’ve ever heard or read about Paul and 911 that it was he said is was “blowback”, from our Mideast policies….

Precisely. But what should you believe? Your own eyes & ears or the demagoguery against Ron Paul? Many on FR would wish you to believe the latter.

When Ronald Reagan said in his memoirs that he most regretted losing those 200 soldiers in Lebanon and that he should have "stayed out of the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics", Ronald Reagan was a great statesman and hero. When Ron Paul promotes that same policy of staying out of the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics, then he's supposedly to be considered as "anti-Israel" and "a surrender monkey".

You can't argue with that kind of blind vitriol that defies reason.
