Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.

How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.

Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.

If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?

I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

It looks like illegal aliens can claim that they intend to file an application at some unspecified future date. How far in the future? 5 years? 100 years? I can't find any time limit.

Excellent point.

So how do we know she won’t quit mid term if she is elected president?

You can't sue a sitting president into oblivion. The courts almost always rule that the plaintiff has no standing. Just ask Philip Berg about that. That's why Obama still plays golf on our dime. How do you think GWB was able to serve two terms?

Interestingly, Alaska closed the barn door too late:

On December 22, 2010, new rules governing Alaska executive branch ethics, stemming from Sarah Palin's tenure as governor, took effect:[28]

"These include allowing for the state to pay legal costs for officials cleared of ethics violations; allowing for a family member of the governor or lieutenant governor to travel at state cost in certain circumstances and allowing an immediate family member to use an official's state-issued cell phone or BlackBerry if the usage is limited or under monthly or unlimited plans."[28]

“You knew it was only a matter of time before Drey would throw out the false premise that it’s either Perry gets the nomination or else we’re doomed to Obama.

This is the corruption of the Rick Perry Kool-aid. “

right. Bachmann, Palin or Cain could beat Obama. Perry is a rino so then he will sink the party like McCain. The tea party will be split and looking for another candidate or at least people in the movement will. Because most don’t want another McCain or Bush or Dole.

If the base is already split on Perry then the divide will just grow. But then with Bachmann winning Iowa and Romney winning New Hampshire and Bachmann or Palin winning South Carolina then Perry is toast. Then Bachmann or Palin will defeat Romney and win the nomination.

No, it’s a copy & paste boilerplate ad hominem tour de force you can find on the net if you’re too lazy or stupid to write your own.

LOL! Get a clue.....

>> If my memory serves me, the Bush family originally came from New England. Please correct me if I'm wrong. <<

George W. Bush lived in Texas since he was 2 years old and grew up in Texas, he had no memories of his birthplace except that it was a family vacation spot in the summer. Back in 2000, the talking point among Texas conservatives touting GWB for President was this PROVED he was a "real Texan" and "different" from his "yankee transplant" dad.

Now the talking point is that Rick Perry is "different" from GWB and a "real Texan" because he was born on Texas soil and didn't go to ivy league schools.

Same song, different dance. I suppose if Perry gets into the White House and turns into another milquetoast establishment Republican, Texans will be here promto to tout David Dewhurst for federal office and explain how he's a "real Texan, unlike Perry"

As a voter I and others are entitled to get a clear view on Perry’s and any other candidate’s record. So far Perry’s record on borders, gardasill, roads, gay marriage, and other things have given me serious pause. Perry used to be my second choice for POTUS now I’m not so sure. A big thank you to ALL FReepers who do the right thing and properly vet our canadites your information is ALWAYS appreciated.

“Norm, I’m certainly not going to be cowed by someone like you. I’m still waiting for that question you wanted answered...”

You who have ducked, dodged, and made up pure fantasy from whole cloth, to say nothing of having blown off literally dozens of legitimate questions with snarky comments, are a peculiar one to be ‘waiting’ on anything, much less an answer from someone else.

You have in in the past claimed to be a Professor teaching I believe ‘American Exceptionalism” unless I am mistaken, stalking about “the jobs Americans won’t do” “$10 onions” and “$20” a day labor. Oh, and standing knowingly by while illegals roof your house to save a few bucks. That’s “exceptional” all rhight.

D, you are a fraud. And I may add, a rather poor one. On this thread, like others you post your drivel on, you are repeatedly contradicted with facts, personal examples and pretty much every form of ‘proof’ as it accepted by any honest person. Yet, you ignore it, dismiss it and go right on your merry way spreading half truths, untruths and flat out BS.

I called you out and challenged you to prove who you really are. Considering you recently told another poster “You have no Idea who I am” or some such, I didn’t think it would be a problem for you proving who your arrogant self was, but I guess that was just a part of the act too. I gave you and every one else on this thread my real name as I have no problem with anyone knowing who I am. I stand behind what I say here and don’t make snarky comments behind an alias, then run. But you have to make up some pitiful excuse and project your liberal fantasy that I am some kind of stalker. I’m not a stalker D. I am an honest person that will not abide your or anyone else’s blatantly deceitful crap on a public forum without calling it for what it is. It’s called having honor and integrity, something you are obviously, as shown by your actions, wholly unfamiliar with.

So go right ahead and keep spreading your BS, but don’t be surprised when you get called on it. And don’t whine like a liberal...it’s unbecoming on a conservative forum.

BTW, why exactly ARE you on a conservative forum with the beliefs you have stated on this thread anyway? They sure as hell aren’t conservative.

Well, I’m not going to pretend to be stupid, if that’s what you mean. But conservative? Oh, yeah. I’m as conservative as they come. Pardon me if I do my own research on the issues, too, to find out the reasoning. Perspective changes when you do that.

It was a Palin supporter who brought that up. Not me. He was crying that people on other threads, at other times (not on this one) called her a quitter.

Yeah. I looked it up. I had to pay out-of-state a while back and didn’t remember it being much more. I looked it up. It was. I have no problem conceding an error.
