Zucchini and yellow squash are really producing. Tomatoes have produced nothing yet. Ready to start digging up some potatoes too.

Our tomatoes have suddenly taken off here in north Idaho. We planted some heirlooms and they are all chock full...

Zukes and yellow squash doing well in my garden. Last night I canned a batch of onion, garlic, yellow squash, zucchini, tomato, and Italian spices. I sliced and heated thoroughly, then pressure canned it. I wasn’t sure how long, so basing it on a soup recipe, I let it go for 1 hour for pint jars. I’m wondering if it was too long. I’m new to canning and couldn’t quite figure out how long to cook it. Any suggestions for next time?

my 30 or so tomato plants are producing like crazy....and I don't intend to can a single one...we're eating them all, every day, fresh from the garden, and sharing some too.....I pulled a few corn from some hybrid that is supposed to produce 1 7" ear on each plant in 54 days...well, it took longer than that...

another year I've tried very hard to grow Walla Walla sweets ...onions....and another year of smallish results..

.forget about my leeks...I planted them in the wrong spot...

I do have a few sweet banana peppers coming on...and beans have given us a few meals...

but what I did today was planted some small bush bean seedlings...I started them 2nd week in August.....they're supposed to produce in 58 days or so....with any luck and some plastic covering, I might have beans in October...
