my 30 or so tomato plants are producing like crazy....and I don't intend to can a single one...we're eating them all, every day, fresh from the garden, and sharing some too.....I pulled a few corn from some hybrid that is supposed to produce 1 7" ear on each plant in 54 days...well, it took longer than that...

another year I've tried very hard to grow Walla Walla sweets ...onions....and another year of smallish results..

.forget about my leeks...I planted them in the wrong spot...

I do have a few sweet banana peppers coming on...and beans have given us a few meals...

but what I did today was planted some small bush bean seedlings...I started them 2nd week in August.....they're supposed to produce in 58 days or so....with any luck and some plastic covering, I might have beans in October...

What is the variety of that “54” day corn? The quickest I ever found was QUICKIE but I am always looking for something new, sweeter and quicker because of our cool coastal climate...

I have several different tomato types that are supposed to be good for short growing seasons. Nothing yet. The Zucchini is producing very well. Yellow squash beginning to produce. Potatoes always do well. I live at 8,500 ft elevation in the Colorado Rockies and the low temps at night are usually in the 50’s and sometimes 60’s. The average time between frosts is only 90 days so I start indoors 1-2 months before planting.
