With Hurricane Irene preparing to strike the United States, I have a few questions:
1)Why is President Obama still in Martha's Vineyard as of 12:17 EST? Was this not the same Man who was very critical of the government response in the aftermath of Katrina and boosted if he was in charge, the response would have been better? Why is he not in Washington leading all preparation efforts.
2)Where are his fellow Democrats like Harry Reid, Dick Durban and the rest of the Congressional Bunch, who was also very critical in the aftermath of Katrina? Why have they not return to Washington to help President Obama prepare for this major storm?
3)Will this President play politics with federal aid once again as areas with Republican Governors or States that he did not win in 2008 be denied any federal help as Texas was during this year's wildfires.
4)Will he play politics with the clean up once again as he will appear at selected clean up site, pick one piece of wood, hugs some Democrat plant and boast that the federal government will be there for them in a what will clearly be an election year ploy?
Remember the Irene song? BO will issue a proclimation - Goodnight Irene, they will only see you in their dreams.
I have no idea about why Obamalini is still there. But, if it were Clinton, the answer would be easy: He heard Irene is coming, and he would be waiting for her to arrive so he could hit on her.
Why’s he still there? He has a “Boss and Buddy” night planned for tonight with his boss, President Soros.
Because the last things he has to worry about dealing with are traffic jams, gas shortages, empty ATMs.
His wife will not let him go.
I guess they must be waiting until the absolute last second to leave so they can block everyone else’s evacuation? You’d think they would be taking this a little more serious side they are at Martha’s vineyard but like I said most likely they are waiting so they can make sure to block others way out because they are more important.

President leaving the Vineyard tonight
>>President Obama today warned the East Coast to “be prepared for the worst” as Hurricane Irene is poised to rip through the South today and is on track to bring tropical downpours in Massachusetts tomorrow and whipping winds at its height on Sunday.
White House officials added the president will leave Martha’s Vineyard tonight.
Gov. Deval Patrick has activated 500 members of the National Guard in response to the impending storm.
Obama, speaking on Martha’s Vineyard this morning, said all indications suggest Hurricane Irene will be an “historic” storm.
He warned residents in the path of the storm to take the dangers seriously and be prepared.
“If you are in the projected path of this hurricane, you have to take precautions now. Don’t wait. Don’t delay,” Obama said. “We all hope for the best, but we have to be prepared for the worst.”

Did I hear — correctly — that HE is leaving, but that Michelle will stay on till Sunday? (heard it on Hannity) I’m going to look for more information on this, but if it IS so, then words escape me!! Bad enough shunting the people aside while HE makes his escape, but to have everyone go thru it again with HER?? And if so —— where will she be going on Sunday? Into the eye of the storm? HUH?
