The whole point of the question is that this makes cruising much easier for someone in the school administration. He/she can build a dating list ~ I hope no one thought this was about scholarship money.
Five will get you ten that the college is in poor financial condition and is using any trick to increase enrollment.
A “yes” answer could put students in line to qualify for a scholarship worth one-third of tuition at the private, liberal arts school affiliated with the United Church of Christ, said Rold.
The UCC - it figures.
Typical Libtard.
They cannot understand Equal Opportuntity, with Equal Results.
You cannot expect a lazy, unmotivated and unintelligent person to excell - regardless of race, religion, creed or sexual orientation. They are screening the applicants, in the hopes of providing equal results - that simply cannot happen, no matter how low you drop the bar.
No thanks! There are other schools.
True enough. I’ve received many resumes on my desk from liberal Macalester College that immediately went into the trash. I don’t care what their resume says. Most of the time, having a liberal on the team adds a lot of unnecessary stress, and everyone has to walk on eggshells about what they say around the office.
So true. I bet potential employers monitor the Top Party School list as well.
Will they ask something of the applicant to prove this status? If not, why not check it to get the scholarship.
Like free lunch programs for Texas schools - it happens to be against the law for the school to even attempt to confirm the income reported on the application. There are kids on the free lunch program who are dropped off at school in late model year Caddie SUVS with 24" rims all the time.
Free lunch?? In California Illegals get FREE college education!
Me too. You can get a good education, regardless of where you went to school. (well, maybe other than "Evergreen" or whatever the liberal arts place was that Rachel Corrie went to. The one that offers a degree in protesting, anyway.)
However, I'd argue that I pay close attention to "major". Anything with "studies" in it, is pretty much out. And "Womens Studies" is a huge waving, red flag.

I couldn’t agree more. I also find that the English faculty at the university level is often the core group of socialist activits on many college campuses. So I tend to be very careful about someone with an “English” degree.
Missed the first part of your post. I do tend to be very careful about the school(s) listed on the restume. Most schools can produce good employees. But I’ve learned there are a few colleges/universities out there that put out graduates who may be book smart, but lack the proper experience and skills to be successful in the work place. Unfortunately, some schools tend to support values which don’t contribute to success in a real career.
But you're right in that some schools aren't worth a flip. Getting so that most young people aren't worth a flip, either.
Looks like I'll be hiring an entry-level person pretty quick too, and I'm dreading it. The last position like that we needed to fill was difficult, to say the least. I'd think that colleges would do well to offer an "interviewing 101" class..... show up on time, dress appropriately, and so on.
Whew! For a second I thought they might be interested in educating people.
How is giving a scholarship to someone just because they are gay (and at the same time denying it to others only because they are straight) not a violation of the Illinois Human Rights Act which lists sexual orientation as a protected class?
sure sure, whatever you say (sarcasm) Gays are a protected group, but read the Declaration of Indenpendance, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal” It does not read, special or protected groups, that sir is sheer bulls**t from the minds of a whacked out libtards.
