The Back to Black singer was found dead at her flat in north London on July 23.
The family statement said: ''Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death
''Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.

Folks here don’t sympathize with tragedy much unless it’s abuse of kittens or puppies...that will have them calling for capital punishment
and like you...I think it’s nasty human nature to be so callous...and I don’t like it either
I thought Winehouse was a sad figure and dirty looking but she could sing for folks who like that sort of gritty style..like Rickie Lee Jones but more range.
I prefer Dusty Springfield
Not really, because I've debated it a thousand times -- people never change their mind on it. like I said when discussing it, rapes are less than 1% of abortions (probably less than 0.5%). Way to attack people that are on your side instead of focusing on the larger problem -- 1.4 million abortions a year in this country. No, you'd rather attack people who support banning abortion except in the cases of rape and to save the mother's life. Talk about the perfect being the enemy of the good.
Also, I’ve never had an account on here before.
I am neither smug nor superior. I’m just tired of people being honored and fawned over and made to be idols when they conduct themselves like trash. Neither money, nor music can buy grace or class.
We’ve got heroes dying in this country that never so much as get a mention...and yet we have these classless twits taking up the airwaves and print for days on end who most likely died laying in their own feces and regurgitation.
They said she didn’t die from illegal drugs, nine will get you ten she died from a prescription overdose.
Thanks. I guess I don’t hide it very well, but I was a huge fan of her music, and that style of jazz in general. I was fortunate enough to see her perform live at two different concerts. We won’t have another one like her for awhile.
You are not on my side. You are a social liberal. You mourn the death of Amy Winehouse?
Good. Because YOU are responsible for her death.
You and your leniency regarding drug laws. Do you ever stop and think that because of surrender monkeys like yourself, we have failed to correct the problem. And as a result, there are MILLIONS of wasted individuals like her who are hopelessly lost to their addictions? And you want to enable them by softening up on our laws that prohibit drug usage?
You are one heartless bastard.
Her last performance is painful to watch. Instead watch how she used to be... http://youtu.be/CajpSeUvCPY
She wasted her life and kids are worshiping her. She deserves condemnation for that. Kids will emulate her. She is NOT a role model and her lifestyle SHOULD be condemned.
She seemed awkward ..liked pushed
She most certainly HAS caused harm. She is being held up as an icon. She is NOT a role model to be emulated. She wasted her life and talent and THAT should be what she is remembered for.
Fine, I'm game. How am I a social liberal? Because I oppose using the constitution as toilet paper to fight your silly, useless War on Drugs? 40 years of failure not enough for you? Is Thomas Sowell a liberal as well? He also opposes the war on drugs.
What would you say to the family of Alberto Sepulvida? He was an 11 year old boy killed by a a shotgun blast to the back while following police orders and lying face down on the floor during a SWAT raid. He was a seventh-grader at Prescott Senior Elementary School.
Amy made a conscious choice to abuse drugs, and she died as a result. What choice did Alberto have in his death? What choice did Jose Guerena have in his death? He was a U.S. Marine that served in Iraq who was gunned down by Tucson sheriff's deputies in Arizona this past May. They didn't find any drugs in his home. A wife is now without a husband, however, and a little boy is now without a father.
Who is at fault for Kids emulating her and choosing her as a role model, Amy or the kid's parents?
Nothing in that message is untrue.
Should she be held up as a role model? Because that is what's happening. She wasted her life and talent. And that should NOT be forgotten simply because she's dead.
Why romanticize a dead person? But kids are doing it. And that will lead to emulation. Just what we need, more lost, dead young people.
Perhaps she was like Keith Richards, and needed the illegal drugs to keep alive.
Regrettably, we tend to make judgments when a celebrity who did lead an over the top life dies, forgetting that there is family. In this case a family that lost a 27 year old daughter.
I’m glad her father was able to see her happy and off rugs before she passed away. Watching her go thru the throes of drug addition, alcoholism, etc. had to be very painful for him. So he can live with his memories of that good time, however briefly lived.
There might very well be something to that.
“I’m not a social liberal.”

And upthread (post 43) you claim you are not a retread troll. So how come you are pinging dcwusmc and Ken H. (Whoever they are?) Look. You are circling the drain here. Better quit while you’re behind.
I hope that no one sees her as someone to emulate.
