Bush's fault! Bush's "fault"...get it?..:=)
And of course it's probably caused by man-made globalwarming!
Yeah, well the Southern Californians wouldn’t be chortling if they got whacked with a foot of snow. We get that here about six times every winter.
Have you ever been in any of the hotels in the areas where this east coast quake hit? They need to be inspected.
Come on East Coast, we have those for breakfast out here!!!!”
...........................................................
Yep , and you are welcome to them. The Fires, the Mud slides, the earthquakes, and your politicians, like Nancy and Maxine, Feinstein, and the Pig man Waxman.
Keep them all out west.
yes.
when i worked in wa wa d.c.
my office friends warned me that i would fall off into the
pacific ocean due to l.a. earthquakes.
I never understand the whole “our disasters are worse than yours” attitude. Hey, I can appreciate anyones reaction to natural stuff. If you’ve never been in a small tornado, it doesn’t have to be an F4 to freak you out. If you never see snow, half an inch can be pretty difficult to deal with.
In the famous words of Rodney King....oh, no, I won’t go THAT far. :) Carry on.
The opening of Greta’s show this evening was over the top - the hype was shameful. I mean granted, we’re not used to this out here in the East but there also needs to be some perspective when reporting what happened.
I thought it was pretty cool, since no one got hurt (that I know of.) My first quake. Building shook. It was something different, alright!
I knew they would think it was silly for us to make a big thing out of this, but I think this is cause for concern. It’s “the biggest earthquake in human history in Virginia.”
Not good.

Really??? How about a good ole Cat 3 Hurricane to liven the place up out there?
I will admit to sneering myself.
5.8? Meh... I sleep through those.
We are really used to quakes here.
Baseball team - Quakes.
Stadium - Epicenter
Team mascots - Tremor and Aftershock.
I did think it was a bit silly of ABC Radio News to keep talking about the quake every hour on the hour. They only mentioned the 6.6 quake we had here a few years ago one time, and oh yeah, we get 50 feet of snow here every Winter.
I went through a 9.0 back in March. Both the East coast and West coast, and the rest of the world can kiss my ass now. I’m snicker-proof until I die. ;)
Yah, we Alaskans were kind of chuckling, too. I don’t even wake up if it’s under 6.0. LOL!
Earthquake????, 5.8 isn’t much more than an earth fart that you had better be sitting stil or you will miss it..
We are quakists, I admit it.
Yes 5.8 out west would be nothing but they forget that we sit on bedrock here that makes a small one feel much bigger than it is.
