I didn’t think this could happen til my ex seriously proposed his 18-yr-old’s pet dog of 8 yrs be dropped off at the Humane Society now that she was leaving for college. For such jerks I propose we drop them off at the pound.

A very sad sign of the times we live in, when even beloved pets are given up because of the rough economy, divorce, or the passing of the human companion. I have socialized a number of cats at the local no-kill cat/dog/kittens/puppies that I volunteer at. :(=^..^=
