I know it may be upsetting for many of you to discover the animal you cherish is of the opposite political party. Would former President Bill Clinton ever be able to admit to himself that the late Socks was a Republican? Could Democrats ever bring themselves to forgive Checkers, the dog and a Democrat who belonged to Richard M. Nixon and whose mention in the famous 1952 Checkers speech helped save Nixons political career?
When cats are born, they believe they are in a state of liberty, and from then on they are determined to keep it that way. No one tells them what to do. They dont believe it takes a village, because they know they might have to take instructions from the village idiot in the local government.

That’s Missy, guarding my computer!
Cats have been “working” as mousers forever. They also go hunting and bring back their kills to their humans. (The fact that most humans scream in horror when they do this is totally beside the point.) Cats also “work” as alarm clocks, feet warmers, masseuses, baby-sitters, etc. There even used to be a series of cat food commercials depicting all of the “jobs” that cats perform for their humans.
Dogs? All you have to do is look at a human walking a dog. The human follows behind the dog, picking up its poop.
I won’t insult dogs by calling them Dems. Very few creatures deserve such a horrible slur. But cats are definitely as close, or closer, to being Republicans as dogs are.
The typical cat would wait until a half hour past feeding time then leave your mouldering corpse and the floor to see what’s for din din at the neighbors house.
This sucks because I love dogs and cant stand cats.
YES!! Go Larry!
“Dogs? All you have to do is look at a human walking a dog. The human follows behind the dog, picking up its poop.”
Not when a dog is being walked correctly. Unfortunately, many people don’t walk a dog properly.
I am willing to concede that cats are Republicans.
But dogs are conservatives. :-)
I’m with you on this.
I don't believe this is true. Before we started getting home vet visits, my cat went to the vet once a year, and when she saw the carrier come of of the closet she was long gone.
I call BS on this. My Dogs are always looking out for trouble. The cat just sits around and doesn’t even catch mice.
Love it! But I think it’s more atavistic than memory-based. See cat container, will run.
I wonder what kind of species would get near a badger for breeding....even lions leave those suckers alone...
When you catch them doing something they know they shouldn’t be doing, the cat will just give you an evil look and wait to see if you will actually come over and make them stop, the dog will immediately stop and the look really guilty.
ROFL. So true.
Oh Slings And Arrows, PINGING THIS ONE over to you, unless you want me to PING it. :)=^..^=
That look is a heart melter.....ah, I must be getting the itch...
THANKS! You beat me to it. I had just PING you. :)
You’re a little late to the party. :)
