Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has turned his famously sharp tongue against his fellow celebrity chefs, the New York Post reported Thursday.
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Sandra Lee, the woman who brought us the Kwanzaa Cake (Youtube for it).
Bordain called it a “war crime” and he was right.
Disgusting.
You and I are on the same page. I also think of whom I would rather have a beer with. Not Tony for sure.
I remember that episode. That big ugly doofus thought he was a 'restauranteur' and drove an expensive car, never got his hands dirty. Dipped his hands in the till.
So, when he went to Missouri to catch, kill, skin and cook squirrel with the locals, was he a snob?
Sure, but brought his NYC sensibilities to MO and had a good time with it, but he cooked it and he ate it and he LIKED it. One of his better shows.
IIRC, Sandra Lee, was the woman who invented those valances for the poofy window treatments back in the 80s. Maybe Cuomo is why she’s always mixing an alcoholic beverage.
Leni
I would wash Ina’s dishes for a month for one day of her cooking. I might mow the lawn also. Jeffrey is a lucky man.
Can’t stand her cooking.
Too much fats and butter.
She can make my fried chicken or pork chops anytime though.
I would like here take on Fried Okra sometime.
Didn’t see that one.
Almost every show is entertaining and enlightening.
I don’t get to the Baltics, so he does it for me.
The others sit in a studio and bore the hell out of me. I don’t understand how people can watch those shows. On the DVR, I’ll delete all the unwatched Deen, Ray, et al. shows I find, but NEVER a single episode of “No Reservations”. Great stuff.
As I said, he can be a prick. I think people need to take it for what it’s worth and not to worry so much when he rags on other cooks/personalities. And Octavia is VERY cool.
Cat fight!
Paula makes better chicken fried steak and biscuits ...
Tony makes better duck a l’Orange and saute potatoes.
They both have their place.
My newest favorite is John Besh ... the man cooks a nice piece of fish.
“Beshs devotion to local ingredients and local cuisine also extends to his entrepreneurial projects, including the creation of Besh Restaurant Group Catering; the launch of a line of gourmet products; and the publication of his first cookbook, My New Orleans (Andrews McMeel Publishing, October 2009.) A former U.S. Marine, Besh is proud to have partnered with Baton Rouge-based emergency reconstruction specialists Arkel International, for which he creates high quality ready-to-eat meals for distribution to thousands of emergency response teams and sustained strategic operations in the U.S. and around the world; the novel initiative promotes the Gulf Coasts food culture as it elevates the Louisiana economy. In recognition of such far-reaching contributions, the Louisiana Restaurant Association named him Restaurateur of the Year in 2008.”
Another good one.
Sad to see my former hometown in such disarray.
That and because so many of the cooks/chefs and waitstaff don't wash their hands and are constantly scratching or picking various body parts and the disgustingly filthy kitchens are just a few of the reasons I don't enjoy eating out.
IF Howard Stern had knife skills and culinary training, he’d be Anthony Bourdain.
There was a scene on the Malcom in the Middle series where a critic visited the ranch where Francis worked. Francis, his wife, Otto and Gretchin beat the critic and put him in the hospital.
Bordain’s show is one of the BEST travel shows out there.
A HUGE part of travel is the local food, and nobody shows you the real local stuff better.
>>>IF Howard Stern had knife skills and culinary training, hed be Anthony Bourdain.
And with a British accent, you’d have Gordon Ramsey.
I tend to watch the shows just for ideas.
Mowing the lawn would certainly help with the cholesterol. ;-)
