Sorry for the vanity, and sorry I didn't get the fellow's name, but just heard an unbelievable example of "fair and balanced" reporting on Fox News Radio just now.
The news woman cuts to a "Fox News Financial Correspondent" who proceeds to report on the Dow tanking and a litany of the financial news behind it.
At the end, in a very embarrassed and hesitant voice he throws in something like, "Of course, this has all been decades in the making, and will be impossible to turn around any time soon."
To me, the implication was an obvious effort to excuse Obama's role in all this: something unfortunately more in keeping with the Fox of recent years than the news organization I once admired. Shame on them.
I’ve heard a lot of this crap on FOX lately. That idiot blonde Martha McCallum is always defending the loser Obama. The peroxide has gotten into her brain.
He’s right. It has indeed been decades in the making, probably starting with that ponzi scheme called Social Security, then Medicare/Medicaid, Affirmative Action, Welfare, Unions, etc.
Obama simply sped up the decline a bit. Last decent president we had was back in the 1980s.
Oh yes, and the “human resources” department at most companies.
“Of course, this has all been decades in the making, and will be impossible to turn around any time soon.”
Well, that’s a fact. Of course, you could add: “Under Obama, these conditions have accelerated at an unprecedented level.”
I believe FOX is turning into the classic illustration of O’Sullivan’s Rule: Whatever is not explicitly conservative will sooner or later become liberal. I turn the radio off for the minute FOX is on, even though the station is a Rush Radio outlet. I’m very close to leaving it off until the host program begins because the local news is getting just as bad.
This is not ‘fair and balanced’, it is becoming propaganda for the PTB.
fox is now as left as cnn... leaning left further daily.
LLS
Yes, of course it’s a fact, but it was a fact that only needed to be stated that way if one was hesitant to lay any of the blame at the feet of Obama.
Essentially, with his tone of voice as he threw this in, it struck me clearly that he was saying this was Bush’s fault, and the reason it is getting worse is not because Obama’s policies stink.
Nothing new, really, Fox radio
has been this way for a few years now;
pay attention to the stories and you’ll
see the pattern.
Fox news radio really sucks and it’s even worse on weekends, when it really, really sucks.
That’s when the apprentice teenage Marxists take over. they’re worse than Pravda, the old Pravda.
Our local talk radio station WOAI even sucks with its news department. All-left, all-gay friendly, you’d think it was Radio Havana.
I don’t know what to do about it.
Nothing can save Obama at this point, but you would think that spouting this leftist slant in between segments of Rush would not make sense to them. I mean anyone who listens to Rush is just going to be groaning aloud.
Do they really think it’s going to change anyone’s mind?
Absolutely true. CNN radio news is far more balanced.
