Artificial insemination costs vary widely across Sweden, forcing some same-sex couples to pay significantly more than heterosexual couples who save thousands of kronor by bringing their own sperm.
“We think that it is discriminatory that there are different prices for insemination,” Ulrika Westerlund of the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights (Riksförbundet för homosexuellas, bisexuellas och transpersoners rättigheter - RFSL) said to the Aftonbladet daily.
RFSL would like to see a development of uniform regulations which apply across the country.
“But that would be complicated and would require the state to go in and regulate. However, we think that the rules should at least be the same within the county council; as many attempts and the same fees regardless of whether it is a same–sex or a heterosexual couple,” Westerlund said to the newspaper.
But according to the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting – SKL) this is not a medical problem and therefore it is up to the individual counties to decide.

Why am I assuming that the donors don’t get pictures of the potential “parents” when uh... giving a donation?!
But beyond that, you know they are not talking about raising everyone’s fees to be on the same block, they want the discounted rates where they no longer have to pay for collected and preserved sperm from donors. In effect, they want to turn the state into sperm buyers with the end result being that the state collects and distributes sperm for free.
Gimme, gimme, gimme - the more protected classes are created, the more those classes will demand special treatments and gifts.

Just an observation but human sperm must be about the cheapest commodity on earth. It seems every producer is insanely eager to get rid of every bit he can produce.

That is why IVF is morally reprehensible. At some point in time - millions of people are not going to know, with certainty, their true parentage or geneology.
This is no longer ‘playing God’ it is ‘doing the Devil’s work’.
Really? Based on what? Are you receiving the same service...No? You have to buy an additional "product" then get the service performed? I see. There is no discrimination here. The discrimination card is even more worn-out than the race card.
