I loved Duck Tales and as an adult I see the wisdom of it. It was a very free market/capitalist cartoon. Good episode

The classic cartoon "Duck Tales" What makes you feel older than having stuff you grew up with labeled "classic"? Having stuff that came afterward labeled classic. I'll go shake my cane at Ben Bernanke.

Glad I'm not the only feeling curmudgeonly over the label "classic" being applied to a series MY CHILDREN grew up watching...in the 1980s! The word "classic" henceforth may only be applied to cartoons that were produced before 1960!!!
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest...

I totally remember this episode.
Amazing that a cartoon that was already great for its time, had even more important real world lessons interwoven into the stories.
There were many episodes just like this one. They need to bring this back.

Everything ends well at the end of the cartoon when the funny money disappears. Ok...so let's burn the Mint(s).
Kidding, of course. (Got that DHS?)

I expect the Treasury will soon be designing new high denomination bills so consumers can more easily by bread at $100,000 a loaf.

I can tell you what makes you feel older - having the stuff you grew up on labeled classic - then REMADE or REIMAGINGED and it’s not nearly as good as the original.
