ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Sarah Palin is a grandmother again.

Kyla Grace Palin was born Saturday to Palin's eldest son, 22-year-old Track Palin, and his new wife, 21-year-old Britta Hanson.

Hanson's mother, Elizabeth Hanson, confirmed the birth and told The Associated Press that the baby girl is "exquisite." At birth, the littlest Palin weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces (3.14 kilograms), according to the maternal grandmother.

"She's adorable," she said Wednesday, adding that the family is doing well. "We're all extremely excited about her arrival."

Sarah Palin, a former Alaska governor and the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, is mulling a possible run for the presidency in 2012. She has not made a public comment about the new addition to the family.

Kyla Grace Palin was born Saturday to Palin’s eldest son, 22-year-old Track Palin, and his new wife, 21-year-old Britta Hanson.

“She’s adorable,” she said Wednesday, adding that the family is doing well. “We’re all extremely excited about her arrival.”

Track Palin and Britta Hanson were high-school sweethearts. They married three months ago at Hatcher Pass, a scenic mountain pass not far from Sarah Palin’s Wasilla home.

Congrats to the Palin clan. Two questions come to mind however, but I bet any objective conservative reading the above excerpted paragraphs can guess what those are without me having to spell them out.

The first grand kid is the hardest. Am I really a granny now? I have 8, eldest is 5. I LOVE being a grandma. Everything they say is true, you can have fun with them, then take them home to their parents when you’re pooped out. I can’t imagine women having babies at 50 something.

Obviously, abstinence until the honeymoon leads to a greatly shortened gestational period - instead of 9 months, it only takes 3 months of pregnancy to make a baby, lol.

1) Is it really Sarah's child *this* time?

2) Where's pissant?

Cheers!

I’m so glad they converted it into kilos for us. I’m not sure if I could have stood it if I didn’t know the baby weighed 3.14 kilograms. I’m surprised they didn’t name her Pi (after her aunt, of course).

Married May 20, 2011, birthed August 10, 2011.

Glad he did the right thing and married the girl, just barely.

“It’s the culture, stupid.”

What are the kids taught? It exploded, this past decade, the degrading of our culture. It’s taught in schools. Parents are struggling with it. Teachers should be held accountable. Home schooling is exploding. Parents are late to the game. My kids aren’t sending there kids to government schools. Liberalism is a sickness. We’re finally fighting back.

I don't know that Britta kept her maiden name. The story mentioned the name of Tripp's fiance, before he married her.

Teachers should be held accountable.

Sadly; most people still place these NEA thugs up on a pedestal.

19, you’re a youngster! It is a trip. The other day, the oldest grandkid asked me, how old are you? She thinks her mom, 25 is old. LOL! You just got to love the grandkids!

We’ll probably have 9 when it all washes out.

Perhaps in the big cities, but my kids are fighting back. They know, but, they’re conservative, and most of their friends are conservative. They’ve had it, they don’t want to see their kids ruined. My most proudest function of being a mom, was, I raised them right. And they’re passing it along. We have a great family.

It’s probably happened throughout history. I think what’s different now is often the parents don’t bother to marry, or if they do they don’t always concern themselves with doing it before the child is born or get in a hurry to do it. In addition, living together without marriage is almost the norm now, even for *good* families. And this has happened in a very short period of time. And there is not embarrassment regarding the marital status of the parents.
On the other hand, congrats to the Palin family.

You got that right. I can’t imagine having another baby at this time in my life.I’m 55 and have one grand son. I love him more than anything but when he goes home I’m worn out.
