This is baby smokey. She was destined for the gunny sack and creek but...she came to live with me. :)
This is 'Gremlin'. He was absolutely the best K9 I ever owned. Collies rule! He was lying on the side of the road way back in the 80's. His tail had been snapped off (a trap?) and he was full of burrs. Anyway he came to live with us. We groomed him for days to get out the burrs. The vet said he was around 15 years old. Gremlin lived with us for around 7 years. Absolutely the best dog I ever owned.
This is "Bubby", (he made me post this). This is the most perfect feline I've ever had. He's a 3-legger and came to be with us 3 years ago. One day I looked out my front door and he was wandering around. All I had to do was call 'here kitty, kitty, kitty...and he came flying. What a blessing he has been to my household!
And this...this is "Baby Boy" the most joyous experience I've had raising a 'critter'. My 'feral' rescue (no pics of her) brought him home one night. His eyes were still closed. She was licking him like he was a kitten and she had him firmly in her clutches (but no injuries). All I can surmise is that she thought he was an orphaned kitten.
Show your Furbabies and tell your story(ies). I'm thoroughly convinced that God gives us these creatures as gifts. They enrich our lives and they love us without reservation. I'm hoping you will share your blessings with all of us FReepers.
Sweet Katy
Kates
Tabby. This is our Bengal who wandered into our barn one day when she was half grown. Don't know where she came from. Put out notices for lost cat. No reply.
Nikki. She was born on our patio from a feral cat. So cute we adopted her.
Tom. (original name, huh?) Our barn cat. He is a huge panther like cat who is a good ratter. Still, a sweet boy.
There are so many precious animals here. My Peaches, my little cattle dog, was thrown out of a car at 5 months and Juanita was out of one of those awful puppy mills. When Craig and I saw her; we knew she was ours. She had a big cherry eye which was fixed. She is a doll. She is our smallest and her best friend forever is our biggest dog, Thunder. It took a while for Peaches to get into the car; but now she rides shotgun like a true champ. She loves it.
When we lose our pack heaven forbid and our health still permits; we are going to adopt older dogs. They need someone to love them.
This is by Lady Jag, who used Brad's Gramma's beautiful GSD as her subject.
I should have pinged you last nite ss I’ve seen your beautiful photos of your furbabies. Hoping you will share on this thread.

Swiper was a thrice-returned pound reject...He had no idea how to behave in the house, he used to jump up on the table and he actually knocked over a sofa once. He matured into probably the best dog I've ever owned. Half pit bull, half red heeler, half horse.
Very much loved and sat upon. He pulls a cart, protects the chickens, and keeps me company when Mr. Legs is away at drill.
Zero is our auxilary back-up dog.
This is Minette, my sweet rescue kitteh.
She only has half a tail.
She is the best kitteh, ever!
When I was recovering from surgery, she would curl up on me a be a "nurse kitteh".
She did the same for my husband when he was recovering from cancer surgery.
This is Jake.
He was abandoned by one of my tenants.
The vet thinks he's half Boxer and half Great Dane.
That's Miki and Keko, who obviously do not like each other. The Siamese is at least 50% bigger than than Keko, despite the way they look here. He just has a small head.
Here is a big dog, Salamander and her dog Odhinn.
Wow, are everyone’s fur babies cool or what?
My Bailey...She loves the bathroom on hot days.
