A 21-year-old man downed about 10 shots of liquor, stole an auto dealership's golf cart and was arrested driving the wrong way on a St. Louis Park highway, according to a criminal complaint.
Steven L. Mansfield was charged Tuesday in Hennepin County District Court with felony motor-vehicle theft and third-degree drunken driving, a gross misdemeanor.
Soon after his arrest before dawn Saturday morning, Mansfield's blood-alcohol content was measured in a breath test at 0.20 percent, more than twice the legal limit for driving in Minnesota.
According to the complaint:
State Patrol troopers located and stopped Mansfield driving a golf cart heading south on the northbound shoulder of Hwy. 100 near Hwy. 7.
Mansfield, a bit unsteady on his feet, told the troopers that he worked for a golf course and was returning the cart, but he could not name his employer.

He’s lucky a big rig didn’t launch him into orbit.
So it was gross was it?
10 shots of gin is around 9 too many.
Wobbles...
Not a relative, is he?
;-)
Comments or opinions - anyone?
Dumbass comes to mind.
First, the comments:
Remember when country singer George Jones took to a lawn mower in search of a drink? I had forgotten all about that episode until I saw this article. Then next thing I did was go on over to Jones' article on Wikipedia to see if he was still alive (he was).
Why Wikipedia to see if George Jones was still alive? Because if there is one thing Wikipedia does really good, it is telling us whether or not a given celebrity is still alive or not. This is because there are at least a couple dozen Wikipedia editors with fingers poised over keyboards, ready to edit the Wikipedia article of any celebrity who has just died.
I'm not kidding. Whenever news of a celebrity death comes over the wires, your fingers will just not be fast enough to pull up the Wikipedia article without the death already recorded. A couple weeks back, I happened to be on the internet when I saw the news flash that that Amy Winehouse girl died. Thinking I finally had the Wikipedia nutcases beat, I slammed "AMY WINEHOUSE" into the Google search bar and clicked into the Wikipedia article. Well, I was foiled again as her death was already revealed in the article.
Now for my opinions...
My opinion is that Amy Winehouse lived a very dangerous lifestyle and that she had way too many tattoos for a proper lady. Although I must say, my opinion of her music has evolved since her death. Some of those songs from "Back to Black" were pretty darn good. Too bad she had to die for me to start appreciating them. (Frank Sinatra sounded a lot better to me after he died as well).
As for the knucklehead in this article who drank all that gin and took the stolen golf cart on a joyride, I say throw the book at him. Who does he think he is, George Jones? Well I say they should throw him in jail and not let him out until he can sing a passable version of George Jones' "White Lightning." It has to be a good version, mind you...with guitar.
How good does this version need to be?. Well check out The Possum himself on how this song ought to be done.

I don’t condone it, but I understand it.
Thanks for the link. I used to listed to that and the race is on almost endlessly as a young buck (think somewhere between 6 and 10 years old). George Jones, Johnny Cash, The Ventures and a few others were my favs at the time.
