Tropical Storm Emily has formed in the Eastern Caribbean Sea in an area known as Hebert Box 1. See NHC products for Tropical Storm Watches and Warnings.

It doesn’t look like they are forcasting it to be at hurricane strength when it hits Fla.

...
The official intensity forecast shows only slow strengthening interrupted by the interaction with Hispaniola...but no longer brings the cyclone to hurricane intensity in the latter part of the forecast period.
This is in good agreement with our most reliable intensity
guidance...the statistical-dynamical model lgem.

I remember them well...
..we evacuated to Jacksonville for one.....and not far enough to Orlando for another....neighbor across the street stayed and vowed 'never again'...
Blue tarp across the county for months and months.

I'm actually visiting the Tampa area in an RV......wondering if we should stay put or head back to the east coast....
