I hear you on the showboating.
But Brady and Belichik have a way of persuading players to tone down their antics.
Perhaps the dazzle from 3 Super Bowl rings has a way of reminding players that "It don't mean a thing, if you don't win that ring."
I doubt they’ll try to tame him much. As much as Chad likes to showboat he’s not one of those guys that celebrates every time he looks at the ball. He tends to only celebrate big catches and TDs, and then only if the team is winning, if the team is still losing after his catch he’s all business. Which is why he’s probably the only showboater I like, and he is pretty clever.
It don’t mean a ting, if you ain’t got the bling.
I agree with you mostly, but (ugghh) the Patriots just released Ty Warren today because he could not pass his conditioning drill.
That means, according to the B Globe, the Patriots have only four Super Bowl winners on their team: Brady, Deion Branch, Dan Koppen and Wilfork. I’ve seen hopeful signs that they’ll re-sign Matt Light, that would make five, but no new news on that yet.
I am fairly satisfied w/ how BB is reconstructing the team w/ a lot of depth, but the last Super Bowl win was a long time ago (nevermind a playoff win).
Some might say that giving up the 5th and 6th rounders for a short term veteran punch is a cheap price for the Patriots, but w/ Warren and etc. gone it looks like the Patriots will be depending on a number of 5th and 6th rounders.
In Bill I trust.
