LOS ANGELES, - A Los Angeles area eBay seller says he fetched a high bid of $999,900 for a Halloween mask resembling a woman acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter.
The item description of the latex mask of Casey Anthony, who was acquitted of killing her daughter, Caylee, said it was one of only nine "sculpted to precision for a parody video by enigmatic pop artist/sculptor Torro," KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported Thursday.
"Forget Freddy, Jason, Meyers, here's your chance to scare the *#&% out of everyone and win every costume contest with this amazing Tot Mom latex rubber mask, possibly the most frightening mask on the planet. And I can almost guarantee it's the 'only' Casey mask on the planet," the description said.
The buyer's identity was kept confidential by eBay, KTLA said.

People are just plain stupid sometimes.

It is sick, but it’s a sicko’s money and they can spend it in any matter they want. The rip-off selling and posting fees made Ebay richer than the seller anyways.

Somewhere some 14 is snickering in his grandmother’s basement.
If the “bidder” was below the age of majority, it was a prank, not a contract.

To: Lonesome in Massachussets
Exactly, there is no way it is a real bid. Heck for $10k or less you could have a sculpturist recreate or even improve upon the mask.
