WOW! 4 more theaters! At his rate it might get to Colorado Springs by November 2012!
AMC is sabotaging this thing. Typical Hollywood: Talk like sweet democracy advocates, but act like communists.
Shameless Palin movie promotional bump!!
:D
She’s the only person that I trust will run that will do everything in their power to turn this country around!
I heard Tucker Carlson on FNC say that the movie has not done well.
Hmm...there has been no promotion money spent by mega studios...and it’s a documentary. The left rigs the outcome. Seems to me those who saw it have wonderful things to say.
Since I live in the NW I’ll probably have to go to Walmart and get a DVD.
I wasn’t able to catch it here in CA. I know they are going PPV. Has anyone heard any more on when? I can’t seem to find any more on that.
WOW! 4 more theaters! It is unlikely that you will be able to see "The Undefeated" at an AMC theater ANYWHERE -- soon.At his rate it might get to Colorado Springs by November 2012!
As of this morning, "The Undefeated" is currently playing in a GRAND TOTAL of four theaters -- nationwide.
Click here for the most current list:
theundefeated.cinedigm.com/tickets.htmlAs we feared, "The Undefeated" is NO LONGER SHOWING at original fourteen theaters where it was introduced. :(
http://victoryfilmgroup.com/theundefeatedmovieThe information currently posted at THAT link is no longer accurate.(repost for hyperlink)
It lists, for example, a showing at GREATER LOS ANGELES (aka Ontario, CA) -- but that theater is no longer showing "The Undefeated," as of this morning:
AMC Ontario Mills 30 showtimes for July 29, 2011
AMC is sabotaging this thing. The fault for this botched "limited theatrical release" strategy does not appear to with AMC.
The plan, apparently, was to spend VERY LITTLE MONEY on "traditional marketing" -- and instead depend on "social media" and "local networking."
And THAT strategy was clearly NOT effective long-term.
Ticket sales -- after a nice spike on opening day -- have been DISMAL.
I am confidant that "The Undefeated" will be an AMAZING (if imperfect) CAMPAIGN TOOL for Governor Palin.
And, bringing people "not yet sold on her" to see it on the BIG SCREEN is far more powerful that having them see the DVD, imho.
Oh, well. We will just have to find ANOTHER WAY to promote this wonderful movie.
Local supporters of Governor Palin in the areas of the country where this movie was available (including the area where **I** live) -- have been TESTED, and FOUND WANTING.
As a campaign tool, it could be played at Tea Party activities to pump up crowds, but it’s all preaching to the choir and whoever came up with the release program wasn’t thinking very well. The perception now, based on the light showing, is that people just aren’t interested in Palin. Poor job by the producers.

Utter nonsense.
AMC is in business to make money. The Undefeated tanked by 63% in week two, even with 40% more theaters showing it. AMC is simply cutting its losses.
If box office had risen by 63% they would be expanding the footprint.

You might want to spend a few minutes thinking about what the lack of response genuinely means.
Why would they promote a movie they didn't make?
I’m just saying that this movie didn’t have the usual PR muscle behind it.
You might want to spend a few minutes thinking about what the lack of response genuinely means. Please help me out.
Both of her BOOKS were best-sellers.
Why would all of the Palin supporters who bought her book not also want to see her movie?
My theory is that when she wrote the books she was still more unknown than known. Like it or not, her activities since then have been seen as more self-serving and she has over exposed herself. Fewer people are interested in her. Bristol has not helped either - she gives a kardashian air to the family name.
