“early reports indicate the pilot walked away and was taken for medical attention”
I wonder what the medical code is for “Change of undies”

Not only airframe damage, trashed the engine by injesting several cubic yards of sod while at full power.
Someone’s flight career just took a dump.

Oshkosh Airport is extremely dangerous during the EAA. So many planes coming and going with only two runways>3500 feet. It is the busiest airport in the world for that week. There is a video on youtube of a pilot in a Cherokee being directed to land in between two P-51s, and the spacing between the planes is so tight he has to take emergency measures to slam the plane down onto the runway so he doesn't hit the P-51 in front of him.
I am only a student pilot, but I will neverfly into Oshkosh for the EAA.

No worries. If pilot incompetence is determined, he can land a job at any number of govt agencies.

Here it is on You-Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUei3kAcl9s&feature=related
Latest word is that the pilot landed long (like halfway down the runway). I can’t confirm that, but here’s 2 things that I saw: 1. No speed brakes deployed. 2. Pilot didn’t use full aft stick on rollout. This guy was having a bad day.
