Can anybody actually read this? And understand it? Sounds like goobledy-gook.Some people seem to intentionally make things more difficult to understand or follow. Makes them feel intellectually superior I guess. Smart educators explain it so that practically anyone could understand it, or at least have some general idea. This author is terrible, as are a good number of university professors.

The English is pretty much perfectly written. It's just that the subject matter is out of most peoples' frames of reference. The goobledygook-ness is a reflection back to those of us outside this field of what we don't know about the subject.
Various people in different times have complained about how difficult certain subjects like chemistry and physics are and that those working in those fields need to simply things for the average reader. The problem is that, given the complexity of the field, those impenetrable texts already represent the simplest way of dealing with the subject matter.
