If Obama's poll numbers continue to implode, and it looks really bad for the dems, then it will have to be the Black caucus members, and one or two black columnists..Eugene Robinson comes to mind..who will make the first "suggestions" that perhaps Barry should step aside.

Could happen, but he's already about hit rock bottom on his polling. His core base of support runs about 25%. What's he running now - about 40%? It could only get worse, if he loses even more Independents.

If the movers and shakers on the left aren't already thinking of tapping him on the shoulder, it's probably not going to happen. I'm thinking that murmurings of a challenge from the left should have already arisen, but they're nowhere in sight.

Holy Pooooop! As of today, July 25th, '11....the rasmussen folks have the stain at a -21% Approval Index...and - hope against hope - a "Total Approval Rating below 45%!! That has not happened since back in February of this year!

While it is way too soon to "read the tea leaves", this does indeed offer some hope that the trend line is finally moving in the right direction.
