Milk(powdered or canned), flour(wheat kernals too), sugar, salt, dry beans, rice, seeds for all our favorite veggies and fruits, olive oil, toilet paper, toothpaste etc, first aid supplies.

The freezers are full of meat, and some veggies from last years garden. Lots of canned beans, and dehydrated stuff or canned stuff I make when the freezer is too full for more.

I started tracking back in 2008. We have seen extreme inflation of food prices and the incredible shrinking package. Meats at grocery stores are now select instead of choice to compete with Walmart, which has plenty of the cheaper “select” cuts.

I leave the ammo and stuff to Hubby.

The cuts today are nothing but shoe leather and they've been that way for many years. Have you noticed you can't even get a decent sized roast these days? When I was a kid, I learned meat judging. When my kids learned it, it was like a whole 'nuther world. Where was the fat? Where was the marbling?

Just curious ... Is your powdered milk low fat or whole?

I’m trying to find a reasonably priced supplier for whole dried milk.
Evaporated will do in a pinch but it has only about a 2 year shelf life. (Stuff like Parmalat is irradiated - and tastes weird - I won’t buy it.)
