I suppose I’ll have to look into this more. I have always supposed that killing one’s wife would result in, at the least, having to return the dowry. Obviously there is a glitch in the system, which needs a bit more of the gallows solution mentioned by another poster.

The murderously anti-female approach in both India and China is setting the two of them up for some real horror. Each nation may be looking at 30 million young men with no prospect for either employment or marriage, and likely many more that are underemployed so much that they cannot afford marriage.

The potential here is that the one thing they could do is fight, either in a massive civil war, or in mass armies against each other. This theory has been called “demographic war”—a war with the sole purpose of killing off “excess” men.

Of course that would not be the official intent, and would maybe not even be in the minds of those nations’ leaders, when they set on a path to war. But the war itself would technologically hearken back to World War I, but at ten or a hundred times that scale.

The weapons would be small arms, explosives, and artillery. The professional armies would be kept in maneuver reserve, to halt any enemy breakthroughs. But unlike the WWI trench warfare on the western front, it would be far more like the Italian and Austrian bloodbaths that were the battles of the Isonzo, Alpine battles. Yet even worse, fighting in the desolate high altitude mountains between India and China.

It would almost certainly be non-nuclear, perhaps even called a border dispute. Draftee soldiers would have a uniform, a rifle, and a cup of rice a day. It would not be an acute fight, but a chronic one.

Most of the fatal casualties would be by disease, hypothermia, and low level oxygen deprivation over weeks and months. And even with combined casualties of a half million men a day, it could be an entire year of slaughter before demographic balance had been restored.

Your error is thinking that this would be contained in the border of China instead of excursions to claim booty and wives. Personally I think that if Chinese men met Russian women there would be enough for everyone.

Local Chinese business owner came to our area with his Russian wife. Good mix.

"Dr. Kholos Wysocki, whose first study of sex on the Internet dates to 1992, back in the dial-up days."

I remember dial-up internet sex. I had to use my dictaphone.
