The economy is harmed as long as obozo and his minions are in power.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

The economy would be helped, as unnecessary spending would be cut.

Its a false crisis. The economy would not be hurt, sentiment would, business as usual in a week.

Really dumb poll. It’s akin to asking, “do you think that bullet hole in your chest will hurt more if i poke you with this knife too”.

The economy will be harmed less, if no deal is made by Republicans. But politicos don't care. They're all wanting more money from increasing debt to feed their various dependencies on government--right down to the retail service businesses that serve government-employed/government-supported customers.
I answered "no," of course. We needed to dump loads of regulations and political correctness (national problem with men at work) to fire up a large manufacturing base. It's late for that, so I'll settle for a collapse of the paradigm of anti-American globalism, romanticism and legalized thieveries for good and all.

The economy will take a hit. The money being borrowed will be removed from the economy. And that is a fact. Be ready to help your neighbors get through it. Be ready for urban rioting. And as bad as it may be, stopping spending now will prevent utter destruction down the road. If the public finds that they can trust the Pubbies, the Dims will be utterly routed in 2012. With them gone we will be able to get the economy going in short order. And remove many a bureaucrat from their post.

Bill will side with whatever makes him happy- whether it is good for everyone else or not. He CLAIMS to be looking out for the ‘folks’ but he would sell the constitution for a dime if it is something he wants.

They always get it wrong in these polls. The question should be, will the economy be hurt if we do not get the debt and the deficit under control?
