A juror in the Casey Anthony trial has told how she received death threats and has been unable to work since she was cleared of murder.
The woman, known only as juror number 12 left her job and went into hiding fearing co-workers would 'want her head on a platter'.
Her husband said before leaving she told him: 'Id rather go to jail than sit on a jury like this again.'
He told NBC News he was worried for her health and had his bags packed ready to leave if his 60-year-old wife's name gets released.
The woman, who moved to Florida from Michigan, fled the area, retiring from her job working at Publix Grocery over the phone because she didn't feel safe.

We’ve convicted guilty people in this country for 200+ years on circumstantial evidence, but now with the advent of DNA evidence, we MUST have DNA evidence or else there is reasonable doubt?
Absurd. The decision by these jurors was disgraceful and they should be ashamed of themselves.
The jury will never admit they are ashamed instead they will just claim they are afraid for their lives seeking sympathy from the MSM (and a paycheck).
One of the jurors has already accepted a trip to Disney World for her entire family for giving an interview to ABC. One is holding out for seven figures (the tv chef) who hired a PR firm.
This case sure has brought out all the nutballs in society and there sure are a lot of them.
Ever since both sides of the case have been able to hand pick the jurors, two things have happened.
First I have lost respect totally for our so-called justice system.
And I have failed to qualify to serve on a jury. Three times in the last 15 years or so.
A jury of peers today needs to be ignorant and uninformed to be deemed impartial. That, I've noticed, qualifies seriously medicated mental cases.
Lawyer’s don’t get to “cherry pick” jurors.
Cindy Anthony is apparently a pathological liar, just like her daughter.
The verdict was “horribly right.” I believe she did it, but there is plenty of doubt about whether it was her or someone else she let at the child. There were too many holes to reach reasonable doubt. It is sickening, especially with a child, to let the murderer off when you can’t prove the case. So I get what the op was saying: horrible but correct.
On all the Anthony threads, screaminsunshine is accusing everyone who disagrees with him/her about the jury’s decision, of being in a lynch mob.
Oh Please....she’s probably going to write a book and tht’s why she quit!!
Hey NEWBIE....that was one of the DUMBEST JURIES EVER!!!
Totally agree with you. Incredibly stupid herd behavior on the part of a jury that began at 6-6 and every single one caved. Not a single one willing to stand up and fight. VERY frightening.
When you let a killer walk free - especially a killer of an innocent baby - without even making an effort to review the evidence, uphold the law, and follow jury instructions, you'd better be prepared to take all the heat.
Personally, I hope the face of that beautiful little girl haunts these dumbasses the rest of their lives. Too bad Judge Perry told them their names would not be released. Maybe the Drama Queens would have rendered a more sane verdict if they knew they would be held accountable for it.
If I knew some of the actors in this, or lived close by I would feel the need to jump in.
People are personalizing and getting emotionally invested in this case. Because it got a headline.
