Ernie Harwell was the only broadcaster ever traded for a player. In 1948 the Brooklyn Dodgers traded a catcher to the Atlanta Crackers in return for Harwell.

Anyone could do a better job than Joe Buck. He actually makes baseball seem more boring than it already is.
I was always partial to Harry Kalas.
I’d take Joe’s daddy Jack over Vin Scully.
Jack Buck, via his understated, and highly descriptive style, was a master at conveying the tension inherent in nearly every nuance of the game of baseball.

How could you leave Bob Prince off the list?
Prince was pretty much done by 1975, when I was 12. I might have heard him once or twice.
He reminds me too much of Ueker ;-)
